First I want to say thank you to everybody for taking the time to come and read our first every magazine for Insomnia. It is a pleasure to have you join us in this new exciting venture.
For everybody that does not know me, I am Misty Mary and I am a Vice Captain for Insomnia Guild. When I asked Sammy if I could run a magazine through Insomnia I was over joyed, when she said yes to it. I already run the MistyMary24 Newsletter for Insomnia and now I have a magazine running for our great guild as well.
I want to say thank you to all our great guild members, crew, captain and even to those that stop in to visit us for a short period of time, you guys make this all worth it. If it was not for you guys we would not be the Insomnia family that we are today.
Our little magazine is a place for everybody to read and have their work published in. Almost every month we will have a theme other than two or three times a year where we will be having a general magazine. The general magazine is like a chance to submit a little of everything in. It is like a free month on topics. If you are interested in submitting your articles, pictures, poems, etc.. you can check out the month's topics and how to submit by clicking right here. I am looking forward and hopefully are you to making this magazine shine and really special for everybody that takes the time to read it.

Captain's Note
Dear reader,
In case we haven't been introduced yet, I thought I would start off by telling you a little bit about myself. I'm Sammy, the Guild Captain of Insomnia. I'm a twenty-one year old girl currently residing in the southern United States, and I am married with two children. I have a wide variety of interests, ranging from music to movies to almost anything else that you can think of. If you have any questions about me, feel free to ask. More particularly, if you have any questions about the guild, you are more than welcome to ask, and I will gladly answer each and every one of them.
The guild has come a long way from when it first sprang to life a month and a half ago. I can proudly say that we are an active guild. In Insomnia, you will find a wide variety of people with many different ethnicities and backgrounds. We strive to be a friendly guild with numerous things for you to do during the day and late at night when you cannot sleep, and that is what we are. There is no doubt about that, and our regulars will tell you that they love it here. Keep in mind, though, new or old, just jump right in! You won't be treated any differently from anyone else, and we are glad to have you in our guild.
Remember, keep an eye on the contest thread. Submissions as well as the opening/closing of contests begins every Friday morning at 12:00 AM, and the cycle continues. You are more than welcome to enter any contest that you like until the deadline. All of them have cash prizes, but certain contests will have an item as their first place prize.
If you are looking for a few chuckles or you just don't know how to role play and don't care to, our Bad Role Playing subforum is just the place for you. It doesn't get many hits, so I am just spreading the word. Feel free to join us there! It's easy and doesn't require any role playing knowledge. Just read our guides, and you'll know what to do.
Also, please thank MistyMary for putting so much time and hard work into this magazine. Without her, this would not be possible. Thank you so much, MistyMary, and thank you so much guildies for being the active, friendly guild members that make our guild what it is.
