Booty Grabbing for Beginners

We have all heard about Booty Grabbing throughout Gaia. It is one of those phrases that we all see on here, but how many of you really know what Booty Grabbing is?
Booty Grabbing came out in 2004 and caught on like wild fire, and got made fun of as well. We all tried the new game out and we all went wild on it, even the ones that said we did not like it. It gave earning gold and items a new thrill. A game that you could actually play while in the forum section of Gaia.
I remember when it came out myself. I was sitting chatting in the chatter box forum and we all received a new release notice. The release notice told us about this hot new game that was out called Booty Grab. The group I was talking with that day all went out to try to find a tank to grab to see what this game was all about and some loved it and others hated it. I was mixed in between about the new game.
It was kinda of fun and I started to grab more and more booties. Back in that day you did not have to have a certain type of fish for items to fall from the tank top. They just did and they would fall more often that they do now. I caught fish, gift boxes, and once in a rare while I even caught cash items and monthly collectibles from it.
Now the game has changed some but it is still the same game as it was back than. You still have a chance to catch gift boxes from the tanks and once in awhile a fish or two. Yet you have to have a certain type of fish in the tank that releases these items and that is not always a guarantee you will catch a bonus item either. Gold on other had you can catch plenty of for a one minute game. I can bring in on a good game 20,000 to 50,000 gold or more mattering on how many tanks I grab. Both the tank owner and the person playing receives gold from the game so it is a win win situation. Only the tank player gets a rare item when they fall from the tank top but still that is a bonus for playing.
If you want to see in more detail how much you can catch from a tank feel free to look through this section of Misty Mary's Reference Guide. I keep a full record of all my grabs, total for day, highest and lowest play for both the grabber and tank owner, Average Ratio of Gold for day as well.

How does the game play? The play of booty grab is very simple and it is an easy one minute game. You click a tank that states it is Glowing. From there you click before the timer starts as many time as possible in the certain of the tank to gather the fish (not necessary but does help to earn more gold). Next the timer counts down 5 seconds and than the mad rush starts. You take your avatar who is holding a sea shell on their head and go back and forth trying to catch the gold. Red, blue and green gold are worth more and certain fish release this type of gold otherwise it is normal yellow gold that comes from the fish. Avoid any red item that comes from the right or left side of the tank but make sure to grab the blue items that come from the right or left side of the tank.
The Red Items include but Reduction of Coins, Reduction of the time available to grab gold, Decrease in your Gaia's Speed, and a smaller sea shell to grab gold with.
The Blue Items includes Increase in Coins, Increase in Time available to grab gold, Increase in your Gaia's speed, and Increase in the shell on the top of your head to catch gold with.
After the game is over the game tallies up the earnings and than shows your share of gold and the tank owners share of gold. If you did not see this screen remember how much gold you caught, click the tank again and tell the admin how much gold you did catch and they will send you the gold. (Has happened a few times while I was using firefox as a browser, does not seem to happen using Google Chrome)

Lastly just have fun with it. Design yourself an aquarium and than make a booty grab thread and attach them to your signature and sit back and watch others make gold for you. Helps some to advertise your tank by getting it listed in others threads and guilds that host booty grabbing. Mine is through several guilds including the Booty Grab Section right in Insomnia. Insomnia's Booty Grab Section features an area called The Aquarium where people can have their tanks listed in one of three sections. Mattering what the thread owner classifies your tank as.
