We got our yearbooks today. ^-^ So, predictably...I wanted people to sign. I got a lot of sigs, a few of which were Shantina (special cause she took my "yearbook virginity" xD), Drew Tuggle, Porsche Brown, and Devin Smith. Wait--DEVIN?!
Yes, Devin.
The hot senior. Ho Yah. It went like this:
I was walking over to get some friends of mine to sign..in the cafeteria. So, they got done, And I was walking back towards my seat, planning to ask Devin to sign over at his table. Turns out, he was at a nearby table where I was walking, so I tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey Devin?" "Yes?" "Um...will you sign my yearbook when you are done with his?" "Sure." *he smiles, I melt*
So, I let Roy Chase sign mine in the meantime. I found myself constantly glancing over in Devin's general direction.
Anyway, he comes over, and Takes my yearbook and asks me jokingly: "Well, what should I write?" "Anything you want, I guess", I replied shyly.
I asked him where he was going to college. He said <insert college name here>, and he was majoring in Physics. PHYSICS, PEOPLE!!!
I gave him a shocked look and said that I didn't understand how the "math brain" worked. He asked me if I was more of an English person, and I nodded. "English and science", I said. He leaned his arm over on my right shoulder. (he was to my right)and smiled at me and asked "how should I start out?" I shrugged, and he began thinking. He started out with "Hey <insert my name here>!" and I remarked, "That's a good start" xD So he wrote in mine and I wrote in his. I am sad that he has to leave and I may not see him again, because he seems like a really cool friend. Not boyfriend material, necessarily, but a friend. I wonder how he would've reacted had I put my phone number in his yearbook. Oh well. Dwelling on the thought saddens me that he is leaving. I hope he does really well at <insert college name here>, but most of all, I hope he remembers me, even if in fading memories.
