Have you ever sat back and actually studied a relationship? Now, I get "bashed" by people when I express my more analytical opinion on relationships, but from my past few...I realized that...thus far, I've been correct. Generally, when people date, some guys are in the 'impression' stage. Trying to impress their girlfriend(s), until the girls eventually lighten up and the guys don't have to try too hard. But what happens when the guys slips and he thinks he's in the clear before he's actually there? Well, it's interesting, because the small things that guys wouldn't think a girl would notice, are generally the first things she does notice.
For some girls a telephone call.....yes, a simple telephone call.......signifies a ton. If looking at a futuristic standpoint, if a guy forgets to call his girlfriend she begins to question him, and if it isn't "Who is he with" then it's "What if he forgets...." and from there it carries off to him forgetting birthdays, holidays, funerals, even children ((for those who think that far ahead))
Now for me, I really didn't care too much if a guy had forgot to call. Needless to say I didn't care AT ALL, but I can assure you that if you are told numerous times that someone will do something, just in time for them to turn around and not do it at all. Especially if you've rearranged your schedule to accomodate them ((first off, stupid you /and me at times/ for doing so)) Then yes it gets rather hurtful and EXTREMELY discouraging.
Now in the beginning a guy would attempt to avoid making his significant other feel this way at all cost, but as time carries on, he will grow lax and really not give a s**t. As much as you may not want to believe it, it does get worse the further you go.
