Sunday was Mother's Day, we didn't do too much, my dad barbecued for all of us, and John came over, so that was nice. My dad made this crack about how we'd been together for like 15 minutes and we weren't fighting yet, so we kind of turned it on him. It was a nice time, Sophia tried to eat some corn on the cob, she looked so silly.
Government has been going pretty good lately. We've have this long project where we're basically emulating an American court case. It's really interesting, and I'm so it into it, I got chosen as one of the lawyers for the Prosecution. The basic plot is the accused is being convicted of being responsible for the death of one of his passengers during a DUI incident. I'll go into detail about it as we start to conclude, but let's just say I'm really having too much fun for this being a school assignment.
We took a Psychology test, it involved Sleep and Psychological Disorders, I don't think it was too difficult, I might have gotten a couple wrong. When I was done, I started flipping through this book about Anxiety. I really want to get more into this, I hope I get to take in at CCSN. I need to check with Jason and see how many electives I can take. If I don't get to do 3, I might have to not pick Philosophy. That sucks, because I want Psychology, Philosophy, and Japanese. God, I'm so greedy.
I hope that when our Composition project finishes, I can get a copy and maybe stick it in my Multimedia for the world to see. The assignment was to create a 30-second commercial for anything, just persuade the viewers. We decided on doing a board game called Raceopoly. Since I'm Mexican, Michelle's Asian, and Nadia's Black, we all dressed up as our stereotypes and played a knock-off version of Monopoly for the commercial. We picked some funny ideas, since we gave the fake "Chance" and "Community Chest" cards situations from that "Life" game.
Like, for instance, Michelle got "Earn a perfect score on the SAT". Nadia got, "Shootout at the 7-11, lose a turn". I got the winning card which was, "Make it over the border." I hope people like it, Victoria, who filmed it, said I was being really camera shy. I'm really hesitant on whether I'll stay in the classroom when we have to present it. I think we'll do well.
