I slept in a bit more today again, but it was partly because I was having a bad dream. That doesn't really make sense, sleeping more because of a nightmare, but I felt like I had to finish it. Too bad I didn't think of it while I was still in REM, because I can't remember the slightest detail about it, only that it made me uncomfortable when I woke up.
Nobody was mad I was sleeping in, but that was mostly because it seemed like everyone was zonked out as well, and didn't bother to bother me. I had gotten a call from Kalen yesterday asking what I was up to, before I had my "job application deal" cancelled because of the lecture. He had told me that he was going to see Superman Returns today. So I quietly crept downstairs, Kelly napping on the couch, and snuck out the backyard door. I got to his house, but he had gone off with a friend for some military signup according to Elaina. I asked her if I could just chill there until he got back since I didn't wanna go back to my house, and she reluctantly let me stay. I just sat there while she was on MySpace playing Kalen's DS Lite and that New Super Mario Bros. game.
*gotta finish it later* gonk
Ah, this is so hard to do without my glasses, I have to stare at the computer screen. I snuck downstairs when I was pretty sure I heard Dad go in his room, but I was lying in bed and crept down without my glasses. gonk
Ok, so after Katrina (Kalen's girlfriend) and Xernon, or Kuya (friend of ours and Katrina's cousin) showed up we crammed into Kalen's car and set off for Boulder Station. We caught the 3:45 showing, and Xernon's a lucky b*****d, because I was nice enough to spot him a ticket.
So, yeah. We watched the movie. It was actually a pretty good movie, I wasn't too wowed by it from the previews, but it turned out better than I expected. I had originally ignored the title "Superman Returns", thinking it would be like most of the other superhero movies, you know, explain how it all began, but this was more of a continuation, and you sort of got the details explained to you through light conversation from the characters. Or this could be a sequel to one of the old Superman movies, I don't know for sure, I've never seen any of the other ones.
Here's the thing that kind of bit whale bubbles. Around the half point of the movie, where everything sort of comes together, the fire alarm goes off. Flashing lights, blaring sirens, the whole mess. So what does the audience do? I hear one big a** groan, nobody seems to care that the building could be on fire, or somebody could be hurt. I rush out of the auditorium, which was kind of dumb, you're supposed to go out the fire exit, but I think the people that did that never came back in. Turns out the whole deal was a false alarm, and I got laughed from everyone for running off like that. Hey, I've just seen panicky emergencies like that, and I hate that thought of being trampled by scared shitless dummies.
So, the movie continues, with most of the cool idea being lost to the majority. I guess it wasn't that big a deal, if I care so much, some fan site has got to have it somewhere. When the movie was over though, this lady was at the doors handing out these red tickets. I guess because of the inconvenience, we get a complimentary movie pass, which wasn't so bad. I will tell you, the movie is long. We went in at 3:45, left the place at like 6:45. Sheesh.
Got home, ate a hamburger. Played with Sophia, went upstairs and called Josh. We didn't really talk though, and then I got a beep and it WAS EMI! She finally got through calling me. Our conversation is totally confidential of course, but it was awesome, and I have a new phone buddy. I did realize about halfway through the call that I left Josh hanging, but our phone call wasn't exactly life-changing, plus he does that to me all the time, so a taste of his own medicine for him. heart
