This must be that kind of sleepiness people who go out and party and get drunk must feel when they finally go to bed when the sun rises. It hurts.
Today was more of a tomorrow than a today, if that makes any sense. I was supposed to go to Anime Vegas early in the morning for a Naruto marathon showing, it's supposed to be all day from like 10 in the morning until 8 at night. Unfortunately, since Kelly's been at work doing substitue assignments for this librarian, there's that small half hour block of every day when I have to be home because of the parents' work interchange. So sadly, I wasn't able to leave until about 4 in the afternoon, making it to the library a little after 5, luckily, the buses were on my side. Rich caught me in the auditorium, because I stood in the back to let my eyes adjust, and he led me into the tech room so he could give me my graduation gift, which he told me was a Best Buy gift card. I couldn't figure out how much was on it though, and I didn't want to ask him because it would have been rude. So I made it to the front row as usual, where Jen had been waiting.
I was kinda disappointed, because I had missed like all the really good episodes, all the best fights were already over, except for Sasuke and Naruto's final bout. I caught that, and by then Jason had found me, so when the movie was starting, we just hung around, and Alan wanted to get his film developed, so we went to Walgreen's, and then Jack in the Box for me and McDonald's for Jason's friend Doug. He showed up while we had been in the library earlier. It was so funny, these stupid kids were on this one site that was like a wannabe MySpace, but I guess because it's not popular it's not blocked on the kid's computers. It was called Gizmo and we laughed so hard at the site's motto, you just have to see it yourself. Jen had to head out, so I said I'd see her tomorrow at J-Team.
Anyway, we got back, and AV was pretty much over. Leaving the library we caught up with Zack, so everyone who was going from AV was there. Then on, it was just taking the bus to the Suncoast, which is on Rampart and Alta, I'd have to take a taxi to get home from a midnight showing, none of the buses would operate that late. That realization hit me kind of late, but I was here and I was going so I didn't wanna think about it until the time came. The bus ride was really cool with all my friends on it, and Zack let me play his Nintendo DS. He bought these mods for it that let you read memory sticks, and he just downloaded a bunch of ROM's to the memory stick, so now he can play a ton of games, including imports, so I got to play Jump Superstars. I gotta have that game.
The biggest worry I had was because I hadn't bought the tickets early in advance, they would run out. Fortunately, I made it with plenty of time to spare, we got to the casino at like 9:30, plus there were too other showings in case I didn't make the first. We had a while to go before the movie though, so we hung out at the arcade until it closed, then we messed around the bowling alley. We went back to the movie theatres, and people were already waiting in line in front of the auditoriums, and they were accepting tickets already, even though it was only about 10:30. So we got in line while Jason waited outside, because I guess Christ hand Fandango'ed his ticket, so he had to wait until he got there.
We got in there, and we found an unoccupied row, since about 12 people were coming. Only problem was there were these preppy idiots in the row in front of us, just looking for trouble. Zack was playing this really cool sort of simulation game called "Trauma Center: Under The Knife" which lets you play as a surgeon where you actually operate on people with the stylus. He was on this mission where you had to defuse a bomb that was going to go off at this huge sort of like Surgeon Conference. This girl kept bugging Zack and trying to grab his DS from him, so I borrowed Alan's ceramic Naruto kunai and stabbed her in the hand. They left us alone after that. Well, until Navarre came and started bugging them, but it was nice for them to get their own medicine.
Oh, that movie was so awesome. So much awesome awesome. Can't wait for the sequel. It was long though, and the seats were getting uncomfortable because the AC broke in our theatre. I liked the scene at the end of the credits, that was nice. I already wanted to talk to Sonja about it as soon as it was over. The next plan was to go to Denny's, even though it was 3 in the morning. I was excited though, I wanted to be out all night like this, and going to Denny's sounded good, I was hungry. So we ordered milkshakes and mini cheesburgers and mozzarella sticks and laughed and joked and talked. By the time we got out of there, it was nearly 5 in the morning. By now we were getting tired, and the sun was starting to rise, so we all said our goodbyes and made our way home. Luckily Jen (other Jen) drove me home after she dropped off both Zack's. But by then it was almost 6, I was tired, and icky, so I took a quick shower and hopped into bed, out like a light. I didn't wake up until 1 in the afternoon. whee gonk
Oh, much to Jason's dismay, I found out the Best Buy card actually did have money on it, he made this crack that because there was no writing on it, Rich probably just walked out with the card. It's got $20 on it.
