Aha, I've taken a liking to the whole brown thing... see my outift? XP
I recently came back from a week-long trip to Colorado. My dad and I go just about every year, and sometimes we have others tag along with us (this year it was my step-mom). I chose to snowboard this year as well. The first four years I went, I chose to ski (it made sense). Afterwards, I took on snowboarding last year after having made a vow to myself to try it the year before. Heh... learning how to ride is a painful experience. >_<; But all in all, by the final runs of the fifth day, I could go down the mountain relatively normally, and I could turn, too.
This year was more or less the same, but because I didn't take a refresher course on boarding, I spent my entire first day trying to remember how it the mechanics of the thing worked. I fell quite a bit, but I wasn't pained to the point where I couldn't walk like I was the first year I attempted it. All in all, it was a fun experience (amid curses and wishes to swap our the board for skiis multiple times XD), and I hope to go at it again next year. Only then, I'm probably going to ski two days (hey, you tend to miss it after a while), and then board three. Hah, I feel so talented XD.
So... yeah. This is the last day of my winter break. I start school again tomorrow. Physics... *sigh*... I won't take such challenging classes next year, because I want to go skiing in late January. Going to Keystone/Breckenridge during the holidays is a very bad idea! Well, save for maybe Spring Break, but from Christmas to New Year's, the slopes are extremely crowded.
