Wow. I'm actually writing in this thing... Ok well, I guess I should find something to talk about. I know what I'll talk about!
I ran into a cactus. Not on purpose though.
So, Last Wednasday I was about to go into my uncle's resturant. I walked in front of the car and started walking through the rocks as a short-cut to the door, plus I was just following whoever was in front of me. So I'm walking DIRECTLY behind my sister when she walks past the cactus that I was to stupid to see (It was getting dark...) So I lift up my leg to take another step and WHAM. My knee goes directly into the front of the cactus. The prickers were each about half an inch to an inch long. 36 prickers hit me in the knee, straight through my jeans. Right after I hit it I of course yelled what anybody else would yell if they ran into a cactus, "AHHHJHL LKJAHSIGLKBKASBLK WHAT WAS THAT?!" So I pushed the few prickers that were still stuck to my jeans off and lifted up my jeans to look at my leg. One broke off and was in the front of my knee cap which hurt like crazy (I pulled out a little while later.) So I go into the resturant and try to ignore it. I couldn't bend it for a while so decided it would be fine after a few hours.
Man, was I wrong.
I get home and it hurts even worse. I couldn't move it at all now and had to waddle like a penguin everywhere. I was crying for a while because it hurt to even put anything near it. So my mom takes me to urgent care and I get antibiotics because the cactus could have had venom or something..... It is now Sunday and it STILL hurts to bend it. Some ends of the prickers also boke of and went into my skin and that's why it hurt REALLY bad to bend it the past couple of days because it was stuck in a muscle or something... Ugh. So my mom e-mailed the people who are in charge of planting trees there and stuff and they are now going to "relocate" the cactus.
How do you relocate a cactus?!
So here's some advice, always look where you are walking when its dark because you never know when a rabid cactus could come out and bite you in the knee. :]
