I Rung Up Andre Agassi's Christmas Stuff..?! |

So here I am, sitting inside the Art Institute of Las Vegas, with around 3+ hours until Josh gets out of class. I've got the day off, and I thought it was finally time to get out and around with some journal entries, maybe finally write something for once. Work gets too overwhelming, and school is no more for me as of now.
Yeah, I withdrew from my classes completely, I was either failing them or not showing up or a terrible combination of the two. The workload got a bit much for me, I'll admit I wasn't doing my best to try hard enough, and it sort of caved in under me, so I dropped all my classes, and I'm going to try and start fresh with the Spring Semester. It's terrible, but I think I've come to terms with what I need to do, and I think I have the determination and the mindset to get things done.
Work has been fine, it's tough, the holidays are bringing out the worst in everyone, so tempers are flaring and the like, I wish something like Christmas that is supposed to be the complete opposite of what it's bringing to people. It seems that until further notice I'm out in the Garden Center with Tony, I guess because I'm a big guy and I can lift and carry pretty well, and because I told them I liked it out there. Tony's a real cool guy, I need to think of something to get him for Christmas, I'd probably lose my mind out there.
The big deal for the Garden Center is of course now that it's around Christmas we had live trees outside for sale. Which means lots of work for us, and people get too impatient, especially when there's only one person out here at a time, it gets difficult.
The whole process goes a little something like this:
1) Guest decides on a tree. or we suggest one for them, letting them know about the best way to pick one out (fullness, even trunk to set it in a stand, and good top for hanging angels or stars).
2) We un-bundle it, shake out all the dead needles , and shake it out so it's full and they can get a good look at it.
3) If they don't like that one, then we repeat the process, or bring the tree to the "chopping block".
4) We trim the bottom, and then bring out the chainsaw, chop the bottom off so the tree doesn't dehydrate and die quickly.
5) Push the tree through the netting, so it's rebundled and safely kept.
6) Ring it up, and load it into the Guest's car.
The whole process can take anywhere from about 5-15 mintues, depending on the Guest's preferences and stuff, so when there's more than 1 or 2 people waiting for this to all go down, tenstions arise. But for the most part, I brush it off, I'd rather not let someone else's problems ruin my day, especially when you get those people who like they're looking for a bad time.
I'm currently addicted to my DS Lite, it's the best source of entertainment going to work and leaving from it, I just bought Animal Crossing: Wide World, and it's literally taking up day, since the game is real time and completely effective of what you do and when and how. I also bought Final Fantasy 3, but I'm letting Josh borrow that since he's wanted it more than I have, and two really long games take up too much time that I don't have. That, and I'm just not feeling too interested in it, I never have been a big Final Fan.
Oh yeah, but the whole point of this entry! Duh...
While I was in the Garden Center today, Andre Agassi walked in with his wife Steffani Graff and their two kids, they were picking out Christmas trees and lots of ornaments. I barely recognized him first until I got a good look at him, I guess from what LOD Justin told me, he comes in here a lot. He's a real nice guy, he was even born here in Las Vegas, and he's not that snooty celebrity type, even though he could be for being such an awesome tennis player. He acts like a real person. It was kinda funny, I wasn't like swooning (?) or in my head thinking, OMG!! It's Andre Agassi, it was just kinda cool to be the one to ring up all his purchases. I hope he wasn't thinking I was being super nice to him or anything, because I'm like that with everyone!!
Look at me, I say I'm not swooning, but I care about what he thinks of me..it's like I'm crushing on him or something. Ew... gonk xp
