Ghost Hunting at Raynham Hall Museum (part 4) The Toy Room
"Woah!" I said out loud. For a split second I thought that maybe they had a cat that had a tiny bell on it's collar and was just walking around (if that was the case, that's not good for me! I'm allergic to cats!), but we would have heard it before and the lady would have mentioned that before we entered the house 3nodding .
I looked down at Spinda. "Hey Spinda, wanna check out that room? We haven't been in that room yet. Wanna go see?" I asked him. Spinda just sighed, let go on my leg, hopped into my arms, tucked his head under my chest and started to shake again. "Aww, c'mon boy, nothing's gonna happen".
I walked out of the room and walked across the hall passing two rooms that had those grey metal gates blocking the entrances. We finally got to the room across the hall. We entered the room. Inside it had a big table with toys on it! They were 2 or 3 sacks of glass marbles, 2 jacobs ladders, a frog that could do these flips, ring toss, a small metal box that had a board game inside with a wodden ball along with 2 pegs and and a pair of dice, some old playing cards, 2 different sized wooden spinning tops and a small steel bell. It seemed to me that these toys were the same type of toys that children played with in the 17th 18th 19th centeries. The room also had these box tables with glass tops on them that had some old games inside. A couple of them had some "Old Mother Goose" story books inside too. I looked behind me and saw an old Krocket game. "Hey Spinda, look". He looked up and saw the Krocket game. "Spinda spinda spinda!!!" He said anxiously as he waved his arms out to try to grab a club. "No Spinda! These clubs are very old. Can't you see the wear and tare on them? If these break we'll be in serious trouble! These old clubs can't be replaced. So, lets not play with them ok? Besides...I'm pretty sure that those toys on that table over there are ok to play with!".
"SPINDAA!!!" Spinda said happily as he hopped out of my arms and ran to the toy table. Then he jumpped onto the table and started to play with one of the jacobs ladders. He seemed to be having a hard time figuring out how to play with it, so I showed him! "Here Spinda. This is how you do it. You fold the small wooden peices together on top of eachother. Then you hold the top peice and let the other peices fall making a folding pattern". That whole time, I couldn't help but feel like someone-or something-was watching us!
I thought I would do a little test with Spinda. I thought that maybe one of the ghosts would like to see what Spinda is, so I walked towards the entrance. "Hey Spinda, I'm gonna go downstaris for a minute. I wanna ask those girls how many children the Townsends had, ok? I'll be right back. Stay here!". Then I left the room.
