Just now, my friend Cam came over to show me an article about a bunch of people that were offended by a sign at a gym by my neighborhood that read "We're Nuts!". They were referring to the fact that they dropped the membership prices, but someone got all offended by it saying that it "is insensitive to people with mental illnesses and their families". First off, the things in the world that are truly insensitive are "fine" by some people's standards. Everytime someone gets bored, they just come up with a reason to get all pissy. Most people that see that sign don't see it as insensitive towards people with mental problems; they think more along the lines of, "Hahahahaha!!! Funny Face!! razz ". Not, "Ahhh.... crying Those poor innocent mental patients!". Aren't they kind of insensitive by thinking that people SHOULD be offended by it? People, GET A LIFE. Take Gay, Straight, or Taken, the dating show on Lifetime(?). It has a woman who goes on a date with three guys; one married, one straight/availible guy, and one gay guy. She has to figure out the difference, and if she chooses the right guy, she gets a vacation with him. THAT can be considered insensitive. What happens if the straight guy gets pinned as the gay one? How would that make him feel? "...Me?.....*looks at clothing*....". But they have to pick on the Planet Fitness sign. The world makes no sense once again.
