Little luck in substantiating any theories regarding reappearance. Yet to find any evidence of Vedit's existence in this new world; would surely be prominent if plan succeeded. Veidt's plan a hoax? Died before effects of proposed plan could be seen, but can find little motive in lying to myself or Drieberg. Possibly insane? Did plan not work as he had hoped? World still filled with lechery. No evidence suggesting plan ever occurred in this world. Perhaps lends credence to earlier theory that this is not world I died on. Heaven? Hell? Someplace else entirely? Hard to tell.
Returned to Bayou Bistro. Saw several more new faces. One was blue. Would inquire as to relation to Doctor Manhattan, but see little point. Few here seem even aware of Manhattan's existence. Also, seemed more bestial than Manhattan. Had fur. Saw man with eyepatch, cigar and whiskey. Latter two filthy habits. Despite that, seemed insightful. Expressed dedication towards destroying evil by whatever means at his disposal. Implied former law enforcement work, but left due to inability to function under their rules. Continued to operate extra-legally. Admire that. Second man, pale white, red eyes, forehead embedded with red jewel. Very Machiavellian. Man with eyepatch implied he had worked with Nazis during World War II. Would make him far older than he appears. Deplorable. Continued life of men like him is slap in the face to men like President Truman. Must keep close eye on him. Also, active during 1940s means he is far older than appears. Must investigate further.
