Name Meaning: (Kuan)observe (Shih) the world / the region of sufferers. The Chinese translation of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva of Great Compassion. "Avalokiteshvara" means "the lord who looks upon the world with compassion.
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: At first glance he looks like a majestic grey statue, swathed in a deep purple scarves and rags, embellished with silver threading. With a flick of his hand, the staff protrudes up in his hand. Does not speak, but will often use his hands to symbolize or point to things. Can manifest flashes of images from his hands to illustrate a point. He is not often seen standing, and is often in lotus, or traditional relaxed positions of a Bodhisattva.
Image of Kuan ShihSpirit's World: A sprawling rock garden that is in the shape of a circle where the sand constantly flows off the edge into nothingness. It is always night, with different phases of the moon in the clear starry sky. There are different rocks on which one can be on. No one is ever on the perfectly raked sand. There is nothing else other then the night sky, the sand, and the rocks.

Attack Name: Chenrezig
Name Meaning: chen (eye), re (continuity) and zig (to look). This gives the meaning of one who always looks upon all beings (with the eye of compassion).
Ability: x1.5 strength
Appearance: The regular katana burns with purple energy that sparks on contact.
Release Command: Kuan Shih, open your eye. (symbolizes the energy that is emitted from the katana from Kuan Shih looking over Avalokie in protection.

Attack 1 Name: Padma Pani
Name Meaning: Holder of the Lotus
Ability: x2 Defense. Katana disappears in flash and replaced by a large staff of Kuan Shih. It is a silver point the bottom where it touches the earth, and widens as purple lotus petals grow up it to the top, growing in size to reach one flower at the top. The petals at the top flower can be forced out and explode on the enemy, or pierce right through. The petals are quite small and may not even pierce some one with tougher skin, but the staff has the ability to regrow these petals quickly, being able to shower the enemy with glowing purple sparks of energy.
Appearance: It is a silver point the bottom where it touches the earth, and widens as purple lotus petals grow up it to the top, growing in size to reach one flower at the top. Avalokie`s skin will also turn greyish, incorporating some aspects of the stone flesh of her Zanpakuto, increasing her defense.
Release Command: Grow, Padma Pani. (Grow holder of the lotus, symbolizing the spiritual growth of Avalokie.)
Attack 2 Name: Loke Svara
Name Meaning: Lord of the World
Ability: x2 SP. The purple lotus petals spiral from the staff at an alarming rate, pouring up into a cloud above the enemy, it swells in size and energy. Then when the staff is exhausted of energy, the cloud of petals suddenly freeze and start dripping tears on to the enemy. Each drop does spark energy as it runs down their body. It is said when an enemy goes through this, they see the all the pain and suffering of the world, and they shed a tear before dying or collapsing. Avalokie also suffers (see appearance).
Appearance: The silver staff grows longer, and small thorn like protrusions jut from the staff, compensating for the extra amount of energy expelled, and also most often harming Avalokie, so that they too feel the suffering of the enemy, and may also shed a tear.
