In Loving Memory.
On October 15 my greatgrandfather passed away. He was 93 years old. When I was little he still seemed as old as ever. Even being that small I exspeacted him to die at any moment, then growing up more it just felt like hed live forever. No one can live forever but it seemed like if it had been possible my greatpa (which is what we called him) would be the kind to do it. Now that hes finally gone it doesnt feel like hes really even gone. Hes always been around for as long as I could remember. We werent very close, but that doesnt mean that I dont still miss him. He was a great man who lived through the great depression, ww2, vietnam war, 9/11, and who knows what else. He had a wife named Vivian who died at a very young age leaving him to take care of his two children which is now my grandmother and her brother. My greatgrandfather was the kind of guy who liked to sit back relax and sniff the flowers. His last few years, he didnt leave the house much. Eventually he ended up getting sick and tired. All his friends were gone. He finally decided it was time for him to go. And God took him lovingly into the gates of heaven where hopefully hell find Vivian and wait there for my grandma and her brother to come years later. Then eventually I too will join them in that big perally gate in the sky, but until then, the memories we keep and we share we must chearish and hold close to our hearts.
