Personality/Background: Ryder slowly lost his parents as he grew older, his mother died when he was a child and his dad could care less about his son. His dad died a year after he went into the military, Ryder more or less raised himself. He's a sweet guy and has been best friends with Tommy since High School. He's protective of what he loves, and can be a bit too protective. But he has to be, in the army he saved his friend's lives. And then there was his high school sweetheart, who he let slip through his fingers. They were together since their junior year, and engaged by graduation. Once he made the decision to go in the army, she said she couldn't be an army wife. They mutually decided to dissolve the engagement and end the relationship. He hoped one day he would find her again, or at least stop thinking about her so much.
