It feels really awful, abandonment. Don't ever do it to anyone please. I felt like I was abandoned today because my ride didn't come after school. Here's the story...
I had a great day today, I even found my lost ID with my favorite buttons and got to decorate my locker some more. I took part in a new club and made stage props and sets in the other club. I eventually left the building at 5 and was very confident my ride would be there in at most 15 minutes. 15 minutes went by, no ride. So my friend comes outside on her cell phone and once she was off I asked her if I could borrow it for a second to call for a ride. She said she couldn't because her parent wasn't happy and she had to hurry. So I offered to use the cell while walking with her. (It's a very simple 20 second call, dial the #, say where are you? I'm here[insert place], and give it back. She wouldn't let me use it.)So I walk back to the doors where some students are standing and knock to get inside. School policy says you can't let anyone into the building only staff and faculty can. They wouldn't get anyone. So I sit outside for over an hour. Btw it's literally in the lower 30's by now. Over the course of time I'm waiting I felt confident my ride would be there, then about 15 minutes into waiting I was hopeful the ride would be there. Then after 40 minutes of waiting I was pissed off that my ride still wasn't there. Finally after an hour I started to feel really bad because I was cold and miserable waiting for a ride that wouldn't show up. I walk up to the doors again and another one of my friends just happens to walk by. I knocked and they finally let me in. Now it's 6:30pm and I'm holding back tears. I ask them if I can use their cellphone and they gave it to me. I called my house and my mom picked up. I asked her if anyone was coming to pick me up and she said my dad has been waiting for about 5 minutes now at the school. Just as she's saying that my dad walks up to the window and makes a rideculous face at me. I tell her thet I see him and hang up. Finally I got to go home. The whole way back I was crying and when I got home my mom was about to give me a huge lecture of "You need to call me when your plans change. I didn't know where you were, and I thought you got kidnapped or something!!" She hadn't yet realized I was crying yet and started the lecture which just made it worse. Don't you think I would have called you if I had a cell phone!? Don't you know I didn't want to be sitting in the cold dark night for over an hour!? But before my mom really got into it my dad interveined and stopped her mid sentance andtold her that I had a really rough night and was really sad. So I cooked some ramen noodles and had a glass of milk, typed this and then went to bed. So, I know someone who wouldn't give me their cell who I will not be communicating with tomorrow. I'll just tell her what happened to me and that I'll be happy to talk with her on Monday.
