Over a millennium ago delicious fruits like apples and pears grew on trees. There was even a point in time that melons grew on these leafy stalks. Mother nature was getting tired of watching all these plants grow, and she desired to create more that fruit, so she created guardians for each of her creations. There was a Fairy for the apple the pears and of course the melons. The apples were dainty and so were the pairs, but the melons hung
heavily on each tree branch.
as the seasons went on and the melons grew, the tree became a hazard for all the fairies to get near, for the ripe fruit would fall off the branches. The Melon Fairy pleaded to mother nature to fix this problem, but she would not help. She told her little fairy that fixing the problem was her job and she should find a solution
Melon fairy pouted, for she did not think of herself to be clever. She sat in the apple tree watching her melons from afar, and all they did was hit the ground and burst. She found this a waste. 'Why did Mother make a melon for a tree when the tree was too weak, all they too is fall to the ground.' she paused after this thought and smiled to herself. The melon fairy knew what she had to do.
she flew over to the ground and asked the rock goloms to help her make a gap in the earth, they agreed to help her, the pulled at the earth all night till they made a huge gap in the earth. The melon fairy jumped in excitement as she moved to the second part of her plan. She buzzed around the skies talking to every fairy she saw and asked them all the same question
"will you help me with my tree" all the fairy eagerly followed her, for they wanted the melon terror to stop. SHe talked to the goloms once more, and they agreed to help her. Every fairy and golom lined up around the tree and began to pull down. They pulled and pushed on it for a fortnight until it was immersed in the ground.
he golems filled up the remaining hole and left the melon fairy to her work. She took a deep breath and twisted the branches and leafs into vines. She smiled at her handy work as the fairies cheered. Her idea works, 'what is on the ground can't fall
