Vulion's Vortex of Chaos and Insanity...
Hi, I'm Vulion and this will probably never be updated again. :)
Just a character.
Arinol Dorisen

Age: 43

Height: 5 ‘9

Weight: 155

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Green

Race: Half-elf

History: Arinol is the result of an affair between a high ranking member of the Medani house and a common half elf woman. At an early age Arinol was sent by his mother to live with his uncle, Lysand, a powerful half-elf sorcerer, in the country of Aunair. A country with close association to the rival of House Medani, house Lyrander. Arinol grew up on his uncle’s estate in the countryside, leading a rather ordinary life until the age of fifteen and the manifestation of his sorcerer powers. His uncle, being a sorcerer himself and a former teacher in one of Aundair’s magic academies took it upon himself to train the boy. After ten years of rigorous training, one of results being a rather bad burn scar on his left thigh, Lysand declared the boy learned enough to go out on his own, but warned him not get involved in politics or the war. When Arinol questioned his uncle about his advice, his uncle said only one thing, “Getting involved in either of those will mean only one thing, you will always be controlled by another person”. Despite his uncle’s warnings, the young sorcerer enlisted in the Aunair army because he felt attached to the land he had grown up in. He fought in the army for sixteen years, becoming more and more disillusioned with the fighting, realizing it was nothing more than a squabble over land and power. He earned a deep scar from a sword wound to his side during the many battles, along with severe burning scars on both his hands casued by a miscast spell; they took the role of constant reminders of the war. After the treaty was signed and war ended, Arinol returned to his uncle’s estate, expecting a reprimand. Instead his uncle recognized Arinol’s growth and maturity that the war had caused and finally divulged information he had kept secret for forty years, information about Arinol’s parents. Lysand told him that Arinol’s father was a high ranking member of the Medani house and his mother Celene, Lysnad’s sister, a common half-elf left him in Aunair to spare him the political and personal ramifications of being a b*****d child. The only other information Lysand gave the young sorcerer is that his mothered headed west, back to her lover and that he was free to do whatever he wanted with the information. The next day he set off with little more than his uncles blessing and what he could carry, hoping to at least learn of his parents.

Personality: In his youth Arinol would have been described as brash, curious young man. He seemingly inherited the Aunair stubbornness when he was younger, constantly getting into fights with his fellow children. His tutelage with his uncle tempered him somewhat, but he still retained his easily excitable nature. Arinol’s involvement in the war changed all that. Due to his skill with magic and his natural charisma, he was quickly put in charge of a small squad of soldiers. Though he always found solace with his men, the war grinded away at his child like personality. Though each battle cost him dearly, none cost him more so than a small skirmish between his country and Karrnath, in which despite his best efforts, he lost most of the soldiers in his squad. He grew disillusioned with all forms of war and government, believing both to be tools of the few to manipulate the masses. From then on he took a much more serious realistic view when it came to any type of fight, whether large scale or between people. Arinol believes the best type of fight is the one not fought, and is always looking for a nonviolent way to secure victory. This does not mean he is a cowering pacifist, quite the opposite. He knows that fighting is unavoidable and he is neither naïve or ignorant to believe that all beings desire peaceful solutions. He is also fiercely protective of any comrades; attributing his behavior to not wanting to repeat his mistakes in the war. While for the most part calm and collected, he is very stubborn when defending acts that portray his ideologies. He does not believe in killing if it is unnecessary.

His hobbies include reading and playing the flute.

He likes fresh bread, milk, the color black and the word ‘perseverance’

He dislikes war, politics, manipulation and bigotry
