So...looking at comments on a God of War III playthrough on Youtube, I noticed a lot of people call Hermes a 'f**' or 'gay' because of his accent and mannerisms....Okay, yes, a lot of Greek gods and figures were BI and Hermes in God of War is very camp...However....if the commenters mean those words as in homosexual...The guy boned Aphrodite on several ocassions in both the original mythology AND the game canon and also has plenty of other female conquests. If they meant it as in 'stupid' or 'annoying' they're misusing the word. Sorry for the rant, it's just 'gay' and 'f**' used to mean 'stupid' or 'annoying' is sort of irritating and mildly offensive and also since I've loved Greek mythology since before I ever played God of War, the lack of knowledge on the subject just astounds me. I mean, even people going by the series would know about his relations with Aphrodite from the book and if they're too dumb to read or books just don't interest them, his page on the God of War wiki and come to think of it, I believe his blurb in the damn strategy guide mention the Aphrodite situation.
Also, despite the misleading title, I love Hermes, I don't think he's stupid/annoying, I was pointing out that he's most likely bi and also the word gay doesn't mean what the commenters meant anyway.
