Ooh, cutting and cooking at the same time! Very efficient, overcompensation aside. Jaws of Baal though, hm. I've heard talk of the jaws of Belle, but she's just a particularly territorial goat. Nasty bite, lots of trousers needing mending. "Heal my goat bite, make me unrendable clothes." You'd think they would just stay out of the field.

My charms aren't topnotch unfortunately, so I use aloe for burns. Menacing the plant before removing its leaves make it more effective, I've found. Keep one in the kitchen, scold it occasionally, threaten to feed it to the sugar bowl (charmed, you see.) Substitute sugar bow for whatever is convenient, maybe the flaming trombone. Any luck on the magic rings?

Flaming trombone, my my. I think I have a poultice for that.

I can see where chopping and mincing at range would be advantageous. If he could manage it while falling from a window especially. Sounds like he would be good to learn from.
Going to liberate his good silver, or something more arcane?

I agree that it's a different flavour of magic than in the other Dalemark books; it almost reminds me of The Merlin Conspiracy in some ways.

I wish I had my own copy! I haven't been able to find one in a used book shoppe near here. I guess it must be other readers' favourite, too. xd

Well it's cold and flu season, you know. Chew this herb, drink this tea, cough into your arm, pay me in a fortnight or I'll turn you into a vole.. the usual.
We get a lot of voles around this time year, damndest thing.

Have you considered defenestrating the pyromancer? I'd be sorely tempted. He's probably just the bassist anyway.
