I'm a veterinary technician (animal nurse). Have a bachelor's in biology and an associates in veterinary technology. Twas a long and painful process. But I love my career and the people I work with. They are wonderful! Animals are my life and my dream. I'm married. I love my husband beyond words, even if sometimes I want to beat him senseless. He is patient enough to put up with me however, for all my faults and shortcomings. I own guinea pigs and cats, all female. The guinea pigs are spoiled rotten, but I just love them so much! Recently lost one after a long battle with bloat. RIP Evie. Both of my cats are rescues, one of which was hand raised because her momma rejected her when she was born. :/ 
My hobbies are a little all over the place... I like doing artwork. The art on this profile and the profile design are my work. ^_^ I also enjoy coding profiles, but there are better people for the job than I. XD You can ask me to do a profile or art for you, but please keep in mind I am very busy and there's a good chance I'll say no because its sooo time consuming! x_x I can however, point you in many directions if you ask nicely! Otherwise, I play video games, am big time into rping (forum and table top), yoga, long walks, photography....and singing songs that I will probably go to hell for enjoy. I love talking about rp stuff and learning about other people's characters or what people think about mine. I also play board and card games such as Zombies, Munchkin, and cards against humanity.

Music-wise, I like pretty much everything. See that nifty play button in the upper right corner? Yeah. That. Go click that.
I'm a gamer. Rpgs are my bread and butter, but I like action/adventure etc. Suikoden is by far my favorite series EVER. Star Ocean, Zelda, Chrono trigger/Cross, the Mana series, Legend of Dragoon... Ya know, the classics. I also like Mario games (Galaxy FTW), Star Craft, Diablo, Portal (I adore portal... it is my favorite non-suikoden game). I will slaughter you in smash bros. This isn't arrogance, this is fact. All challengers have met with horrible, bone-crushing defeat.
Anime is another thing I like. Soul Eater, Ouran, Death Note, High School of the Dead, Card Captors (Shut up....), Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Elfen Lied..... I also like Breaking Bad, Firefly, Futurama, FIREFLY, Game of Thrones (books are 100million times better), Once upon a time, Tim Burton and Quentin Tarantino. Everything Quentin Tarantino and Dr. Horrible.

I spend so much time pretending to be strong.... making it so believable that sometimes I forget how badly I want to crumble...To break and fade away to nothing.
Homiko
She's everything to me... because I see her for who she really is. I see the dying heart when all else see a monster. The pain, the suffering, this curse we bear. Its worth it to hold her in my arms... just to see the bite of the hurt and sorrow in her eyes soften. Even if just a little.
Kaeis
Homiko:
She is not the little girl Kaeis once knew.... When she was young, she was so full of life. There was so much curiosity - an eagerness to see everything in the world. A curiosity only surpassed by her intense optimism about the good in the world. But that changed. The world, and the gods, found that light within her and sought to destroy it, to smother it in darkness. And so it was. There became nothing but duty to the people and to her position. She lost all consideration for her own life and eventually gave into Insanity. The insanity isn't entirely natural and she's beginning to break through it.She serves in the military as an officer. She has her father's very rare harmonic energy pattern, which she can change or physically manifest. Using her energy, she wields up to six swords specifically crafted for her without touch. They are Kir (Serene Sky), K'nev (Chaos Wing), Sari (Vengeful Tear), Arket (Sorrow's Repent), Versune (Artic Reflection), and Velaei (Infinite Dark). Each interacts with her in a different way.
She's never met her father, having no knowledge of him. Not having known her mother until later in life, she is distant from her at best. She has so few happy memories to hang on to.... Kaeis is determined to bring out the light she used to have.
Kaeis:
He was born and raised a soldier. He will always be just that. He enjoys a good fight and doesn't mind the odds being stacked against him. Being the strong, silent type, he rarely speaks to anyone unless he really has something to say. Homiko seems to be the only exception to this and he loves her more than anything. He has died for her, though he was reborn as a shade. As such, he committed horrific atrocities against the elves. Entire cities were wiped out to feed the hunger that had grown within him. The memories haunt him to this day, forbidding him from any true rest.
Later, Homiko returned him to life, but he retains much of his shade abilities. He is strong and a good commander, but prefers to let someone else run the show. All he wants in this life is to spend what time he has left to him with Homiko. Nothing more. Through his death however, they suffer a curse. Their lives are bound together and because his life force is separate from him, his time is limited. His life stone can only handle so many charges and doesn't regenerate on its own. Because their lives are bound, Homiko will die with him. While he's learned to value his life and wishes he wouldn't take her with him, he's long since accepted this time limit. She never wanted his time and has asked him to kill her in order to get it back. A request he refuses.
He's the son of the wind elven queen Arlenia, but serves in the military as an officer under Homiko. While he has a positive relationship with his mother, he avoids her because of what he did as a shade.
Parathos:
His race, the Harune, was hunted to the brink of extinction. Each generation of survivors were less than the one before it. He was one of the few that survived, but following the fall of his home city, he obtained the rune of his people, which granted him god-like power. Instead of keeping it all for himself, he fragmented the rune and split up its powers. He now serves as Keeper of Immortality. His people became what is known today as the elves and lost their wings. So he watches over the world, often in agony over how they suffer. Unlike the others, he truly feels for the mortals. With Harmony's suicide centuries ago, there is no balance to Chaos. Its his duty to locate a replacement and assume Harmony's duties in the meantime. Acting as such, he involved himself in the elven civil war to try and balance the scales, but in that time, he fell in love with one of the wind elves. Ellenaroh gave him a daughter, but Parathos was then forbidden to interact with mortals as punishment for his irresponsible behavior. Now, he is very limited in what he can do to preserve that balance and the only one even remotely capable of replacing Harmony is his daughter, which he refuses. Ellenaroh understands what has happened to him and his daughter has no knowledge of him.
Za'nir:
A kethiri, a race formerly known for their shadow abilities. Za'nir was amongst those that caused the fall of the Harune. As such, Parathos and he have a deep rivalry. At one point, Parathos even sold Za'nir to Diadora, a cruel drow priestess. She used and abused him in her soul-binding experiments, which he cannot remove. He was then freed from her to serve as Keeper of Gates on the condition that he be blinded. He is exceptionally skilled with shadow magic, but is an overbearing, arrogant, womanizing a*****e with sadistic tendencies. Despite his newfound power, the soul bonds remain and if he comes within a certain range of Diadora, he will be pulled back into her control. He fears that because if she gets her claws into him and discovers his real power.....
F'lon and T'laris:
Twin wind elves. F'lon excels at magic while T'laris excels at combat. Both are relatively easy going for military officers with gentle hearts, but both are very willing to put themselves in danger to protect. Though they are twins, T'laris assumes the role of the older brother, feeling the need to protect F'lon. F'lon understands, but often resents this sentiment and feels the need to prove himself. They are bound to the gold dragons Mnemnth and Tilliath respectively, who are mates... which causes all manner of problems for both of them. T'laris is often misunderstood and placed in Homiko's shadow, F'lon is often underestimated by everyone due to his shy nature.
Efari Alaera:
An alla'en drazi adopted by Homiko when she was a small child. Her parents were killed during the war with the orcs on her home continent and being left with no family, Homiko took her in. She was raised with the home guard and trained by Homiko as she grew. Homiko helped her to learn and use her ability with light, which is now a rather deadly skill. She is one of the very very few that has seen Homiko's white wings and is in awe of what they symbolize in her culture. As such, she sees Homiko as a descendant of the gods. Eventually, she left on a journey to purify herself similar to the moonlight ritual of her race in an attempt to turn her own black wings white.Diadora:
A very cruel woman who conspires to rule the drow. One of the Four High Priesteses, and not even the strongest at that, she is the vision of charm and grace for all the wrong reasons. Her favorite hobby is enslaving the minds of men and getting them to do her dirty work for her, but she also excels at potion making and earth magic. In his anger over the desolation of his home, Parathos sold Za'nir to her and Za'nir quickly became her favorite pet. She ran endless soul-binding experiments on him and as a result, he is laden with jewelry of every type. He cannot remove any of it. After a time however, Parathos took pity and freed him from Diadora's clutches. She spends much of her time and resources hunting him.
Rahla:
Rahla was once high druid, having master several forms of magic. He is quite competent at even dragon and forbidden magic. However, he preferred to live alone, living a solitary life. That is, until the day he met Homiko. He took it upon himself to become her teacher, he even tried teaching her magic, though she was a poor student for it. She only seems to be able to cast with any competence when stressed, desperate, or angry. Instead, she has the talent of changing energy patterns in living things and in spells themselves, so he taught her how to use that. Because of his training, she can negate most forms of magic by changing its energy pattern. He also continued her swordsmanship training. Through him, she met Pyre. While the two hated each other at first, Rahla called in the life-debt Pyre owed him and had the dragon bind himself to Homiko. Since, the two have been inseparable. As Homiko grew older, the two became more and more distant. Still, he seeks to protect her from her curse and guide her along her way, though he often does this through antagonistic methods. He is, in a large part, responsible for her madness, believing that insanity will help her see what she has been missing for so long.
