No problem. :3 The author has recently taken up writing more books for the series too. It was originally a trilogy, but now a fourth book is out with a fifth on the way. Of course, after all this time, the covers of all the books have been updated. I have mixed feelings on them personally. I liked the originals because they were shiny and sparkley (hehe) but the news ones are pretty nice too after looking at the copy of City of Secrets that I got. My need for things to be perfect almost is making me want to go out and get the first three with the new covers so I'd have a complete set that looks alike. xD But I adore the old ones too. <3
Oh, yes. I read the first book maybe 8 years ago, but I've read City of Masks several times since. It's probably the only book that's brought me so close to tears, but it's a wonderful read in my opinion. The whole series focuses about these teens (each novel features a different protagonist) who find a "talisman" that allows them to "stravagate" or travel to the world of Talia. Talia is basically an alternate version of Italy. So if you have any interest in Italian culture/history it might interest you there. If not, I still think it's worth a read. The first book is about a boy named Lucien who is suffering from cancer. His father then gives him a notebook and when he falls asleep that night he wakes up to find himself in Talia; but he's also fit and healthy in this world. Here he meets a girl named Arianna and together they have to stop the assassination attempts against the Duchessa of the city, Bellezza.
