it doesn't help when the film lets you know exactly how highly it thinks of its audience by beating you over the head in the opening moments by having a character say something to the effect of, YOUR GHOST IS YOUR BRAIN, YOUR SHELL IS YOUR BODY ******** SUBTLETY

GitS would've been better as an original cyberpunk film. It didn't create a wholly original story, and it didn't wholly adapt previous ones either, ending up creating a confused mess that either didn't know what it wanted to be, or it didn't care. It stitched together previous elements from different versions and wore them like the momsuit from Psycho.

there's a couple of items that go over 20b and a few that go over 50b but like .. most is just s**t
