Honestly, it's been a bit rough because of depression. I think I'm gonna take a break from school after I finish my last two classes. Gonna focus on learning to drive and getting a job somewhere. How has it been for you? I'm guessing pretty busy since you haven't been online much. ^^;

No kidding! And I haven't been up to too much. Sort of learning how to drive. ^^; Haven't gotten much practice even though I've had my permit for about a year now. >.<;
How have ya been? O:

That's sucks. D: Sorry to hear that. Good luck finding a new job, I guess? :/

And I have been okay. I dropped my stupid English class because I fail at handling stress >_< ...but it did give me tons more time to work on ceramics stuff. Our last day to work with wet class for ANY reason (even trimming and such) was yesterday. On Tuesday I was kind of freaking out a little 'cause I was still working on my final project. BUT I FINISHED IT. It's a frog-shaped teapot. It looks a little creepy 'cause of the legs in my opinion. It's sitting on a leaf and and its eye sockets are the handle-ish things to get the lid off. >XD And I'm going to try to color it like a green poison dart frog. Now I just need to hope the toes don't fall off while it's getting bisque fired. x__x;;

Oi. You. We haven't talked in for-ev-er! (Almost two months.) Classes and a job must be tough, huh? >__<
(Also, shortly after my piano class started way back in January, I realized how stupid it was when I said something along the lines of, "Tsk tsk. Listen to your teacher," when you said you'd just plug your headphones in and practice away. sweatdrop )

It's okay. At least it shows you have a life. Unlike some people... *coughmecoughcough* I mean, yeah, I have one of those too. >__>

Why does it usually range from two Fs below middle C and one F above? Does that mean there's kinda overlapping in a way?

I'll probably start looking at the keyboard more once I start songs that require me to move my hands. I somewhat fear the day I'll need to do that. I'm weird and feel accomplished that I can kinda play that little fragment of "Ode to Joy" though... even though that's only two lines. I'm sad I can't play it as well without looking at the music sheet though.

Thank goodness that was sarcasm! I was scared for a second there. XD Is there more of a point to God of War than being angry and ripping things' guts out and stuff? Because that's what I got out of the trailer....that my brother obsessively played over and over. (He wasn't thrilled with the demo for God of War III though.) Now that I think of it, I think he has an obsession with trailers in general. He saves them. He still has trailers for Killzone 2 and Avatar even though he has Killzone 2 and we have the stupid Avatar movie. Yeah, I'm one of those peeps that say it wasn't that great. Yes, it was touching at some points, but it doesn't take much for a movie to make me cry. I'd probably still cry when Frosty melts in this one old movie with Frosty the Snowman. :'D

Piano and ceramics have been the least stressful for me. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that I haven't needed to write anything yet...and I've met both of the teachers before, so yay. :3 Piano, I just need to keep practicing. Ceramics...I need to make four bowls THEN I'LL BE CAUGHT UP AGAIN. I got carried away with making mugs...we needed six and I made ten. It's in case they explode or break. English and sociology are mean though. They require writing and communicating. Neither are things I've ever been too good at. They went way downhill after 5th grade.

How have yours been so far? And because I fail at handling stress, how do people deal with school AND a job? o.o;

KA-KAW!
Unsolicited posting. It's harassment in the real world, but on Gaia, I can pimp the Decemberists without shame or repercussions!
So, you may have already listened to it, but there's a song on the new album called "Dear Avery".
Gold, man. GOLD.
Dear Avery
Ta!

Maybe you should make it a point for him to never meet new people. >__> Yeah, some puns aren't too funny, but I still think some are pretty clever. Or maybe I'm just jealous because I'm not the quick-witted kind of person. >_<

What's the difference between baritone and bass? We learned soprano, alto, tenor, and bass is high to low for voices but I don't remember baritone being mentioned in my last music class...

I hope I can get the hang of hitting the keys without looking too. O: Though I never was able to do that entirely with a computer keyboard. sweatdrop None of the home row stuff ever sunk in. 8'D

Maybe "confused" wasn't the right word, but it takes me a bit longer to think about which keys the flats and sharps are since I'm just learning. For example, my thought process is kind of like, "Okay, I need to hit F flat. F is there. Flat means it goes down. So F flat is there." But maybe F flat is a poor example...since it's an E. Are white keys ever referred to as flats or sharps in sheet music? Or does my book just have things like C flat, F flat, B sharp, and E sharp for example use only? As for the violin, and probably all other string instruments like it, there are no indicated places where you should put your fingers but I'm pretty sure we had stickers on our violins to get used to where our fingers should go. Since I was just a beginner for the violin back in 3rd grade, we didn't get into flats and sharps...but I did find this little picture of what notes are played on which strings and with which fingers. http://tindatin.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/300px-violin_first_position_fingering_chartsvg.png?w=300&h=343 So yeah...if you know where to place your fingers you should know where the flats and sharps are. Thinking of violin reminds me of how much I hated practicing. And how my teacher always told me I should cut my nails. >XD What do you mean when you say you would try to cross an octave for a flat or sharp? Like as a mistake?

Hehe, I had a friend try telling me it was awesome. She even had me watch a video of it and in it I noticed that the person playing needed to mash a button to pull someone's head off. It would have been much more efficient to use a sword or something and just go CHOP! Either that or just leave the head-pulling-off in a cut scene. Kinda of pointless making the player mash a button to pull someone's head off...even though they had already technically defeated the enemy. /little rant :3 And that's a game I've never heard of until now so I can't say much about it. I totally did not go and read a wiki thing on the character you mentioned. >.>

No, no, no. Somebody would probably end up dead if that were the case! And there would probably be a lot more mental problems to deal with too. o.e (We'd all go insane from the constant yelling that would certainly go back and forth.) We, I and other family peeps, just often talk about our other stupid family members behind their backs...because we're not allowed to explain to their faces why they're horrible people. And yes, she does say "natchos." Even my mom joins us in saying "natchos" behind her back which I find hilarious! rofl If it's ever brought up, we'll all just be like, [Loud, naggy voice]"Hey, you want some natchos?!"[/loud, naggy voice] to each other. XD

What's vocal range? >__>;

How do you know which notes to change around?

So basically what you're saying is you, a person who probably knows tons/quite a bit more about music (or at least playing and reading it) than I do, can't answer that question? I mean, I was just asking for curiosity but it doesn't matter. It's just it kind of confuses me a little that a key can be referred to as two different things depending on if you're going up or down. confused And how could I teach you? You said you could play the piano! O: And I am but a little beginner. :3

Because of video games...? o.o I know there are three God of War games...I think they look cheesy...

Maybe the real systemic collapse was the friends we made along the way.
