My Poetry
Ominous Eve
Curtains billowing in the air,
knowing of the soon despair.
A scream ringing out in the night,
adding to the horrid fright.
Waves pounding against the rocks,
scaring all the mighty flocks.
Mighty white foam of dread,
slowly turning sickly red.
With a start the beat of my heart,
sings in my ears,
fading with the slightest tears.

Lover's First Kiss
Two lovers' breath,
Intertwine.
Longing for you,
to be mine.
True loves kiss,
a gentle vow,
declaring us together now.

What Lays Beneath the Sea
Peaches and cream,
pistols, a scream.
What lays beneath the sea?
glittery scales
off black velvet fish,
or stones of grey,
souls with a last wish.
The stars and stripes of battles lost,
the vessels long since forgotten.
Wooden bits,
rusted metal,
treasures beyond our fathum.
Who am I,
to judge the sea,
and see it through my eyes?
Who am I,
to wonder,
oh wonder,
what lays beneath the sea?

For You
A frozen heart,
with a single beat,
should she waste it?
The ice thaws
as spring returns,
so her heart melts too.
She digs its fragile roots
out of its loose wet soil
and waters it with genuine tears
offering it away
take it now or leave it
she says to the boy
my heart will beat for only you
my tears fall for you
the love we shared,
may be repared
if only for a few.
