Wow. in my world " parent's buying us cars" doesn't exist. I'm not poor, we live in what I call middle class since we own the house, but uh I'd say over here NO ONE ever gets cars from their folks, unless it's an old ugly car... hmm or they live in the suburbs or something. I have to get my own everything. Yup... and it's fine.

haha, I had one of those! My children would have to learn how to work for what they want early on, and still not get it until I feel like doing so lol . I hardly got what I wanted. My brother got it all. ehh. That's why I'm smarter. biggrin

Yeah, it's weird, but a lot of kids these days aren't impressed with things that are meant for their age anymore.
Hence five year old's with Ipads. lol.

I relate to that partly, in that when I was younger I swore to never be like her only because she has suffered in her life and took out her anger with me in terrible mental grieving ways. .. But I will try to establish some rules like my father did. ... but I don't know if I can establish a connection with them like I used to imagine I could when I was little..now that i'm more colder than before.. who knows.
