I haven't had wifi issues with it so far, and I hope I don't have to deal with much, lol. but I adore it, it's super fast and handles games like Overwatch super well. (no lag and such) and it's been going good with streaming as well~
Yeah, I had to get an fbi check like in 2014? It was for Korea though, but I still remember it as clear as day, such a stressful thing. I wasn't lied to, that's messed up, but I was led astray a bit, but that's only cause the Korean government is whacky and not as well organized as it should be. But yeah, i had to get finger prints from the police station, and I had to get them notarized and like "deemed official" I think that alone cost me like $50. I got it expedited and that was $100, so with that one still...I waited 3 months? It was grueling.
Later on again in 2015, I needed ANOTHER ONE because those checks can't be older than 6 months yo. And that time I did a service where I could just go in and get "electronic prints" of my finger prints sent in directly to the FBI, that one legit 10 days, and I was done. It was more costly, but super fast.
It sucks waiting, cause you're like oh man, when is it going to come? Will I make it in time? plus it's so costly, sigh// and you NEVER KNOW WHEN THERE WILL BE ANOTHER DELAY D:
Yeah, I have never heard of the restore thing being turned off either. When I finally found that out, I immediately turned it on, but I seriously couldn't understand...
Mhm, I'm getting an external, so I can save them immediately onto something, rather than just transferring every once in a while (because I don't wanna bog down my laptop with all these huge a** files)
Idk, I'm not too worried? I think I can rent an Airbnb for a bit. I just wish I was in Vancouver able to look at places and stuff. I bet that'd make it easier.
Yes, I'm so thankful to just have a friend there, and one that is willing to be so helpful.
I hope that the rest of the week/month/year freaking goes amazingly for us.
and I'm so happy to be talking to you, I missed you
And I considered a asus, but the deal on this lenovo I got was really nice, plus it had all the stuff I was looking for (which are close to the specs you just listed off) LOLOLOL
Oh jesus, you're waiting on a fbi bg check aren't you? I've been through that, the wait was terrible. Even expedited it, but it didn't come any faster.
I'm pretty sure you'll have nothing on there, lol. If you're not a criminal and such, you shouldn't be in their database for anything.
I was just moving files over to my usb to save so I could work on them at my brother's desktop (sending my laptop to get fixed cause the screen stopped working) and I guess somewhere between the process they just got lost?
Found out later that my backup/restore was NEVER TURNED ON, so I have no points to even revert back to, to try and get the files back > <
I've accepted it though, lol
just gonna move on.
Going off in this new chapter is exciting, but also nerve wrecking
Still don't have housing, but almost everything else is settled. I have a friend there who is going to help me out a ton, so I'm very lucky for that
I hope your paperwork goes smoothly
I just lost all my art work (finished and WIPS) from the last month...and I'm just like "nope, not lifing today"
I understand, a laptop is a lot to drop on...commissions are a life saver, or at least a bit helpful (especially when you're not getting help from anyone else)
What did you get?
Are you back at work, or still here in the U.S?
Has anything smoothed out for you?
I'm here if you want to talk about it.
Things on my end are slowly smoothing out.
how are things on your end?
