Turned in the year 1277, Lyssandra may be relatively young when compared to some vampires, yet she has strength no vamp her age should have. For one, she was born a witch exactly 25 years prior to her turning. Her sire chose the night that she came into her full power to turn her. He chose her because he wanted to control the magick that had been passed down through her family for untold generations... until her sire had all of them slaughtered besides Lyssandra, who usually goes by Lyssa, and her sister Miriam, who Lyssa calls Miri. The girls were taken a week before Lyssa's birthday and that is when her sire released the whole coven to destroy the rest of the Silverhawke family: they mercilessly slaughtered every man woman and child that was at the manor, and any relative that could be found elsewhere. The girls were brutalized by the vampires during that week, and both of them wished that death would find them, if only to bring an end to the pain and abuse. On the night that Lyssa was turned, they brought her sister Miri into the chamber that she would rise in. Driven by instinct Lyssa jumped on her sister and nearly fed... but her sister cried out her name and looked into Lyssa's eyes, breaking her frenzy and putting her back in control of herself. Her sire was in the room to see it and he tried to force her to kill Miri, but she faught him instead. Her magick was strengthened by the transformation and it made it almost too easy for her to drain him completely. She slowly burned him to ash and watched him suffer the whole time, happy that she could repay some of the pain that she and her sister had gone through. Throughout the next 7 years Lyssa and Miri ran from the old coven as Lyssa called it, killing any vampires that came alone to kill them, or running from any they could not fight. Miri's magick was strengthening as well during this time, and on her 25th birthday she asked Lyssa to turn her also when she came into her full power. For the next century, they traveled side by side as vampires, exploring the world together just the two of them. They no longer ran from any of the vampires chasing them, two vampires with powerful magick were not taken down easily, and finally the old coven seemed to realize that fact... it appeared they had given up.During their travels they had seen and found many wonderful things. Lyssa found a dragon that had been sealed in an egg. It had spent all it's energy during a great battle with a demon king millenia before and had had to put himself in stasis to heal after the battle, but while he was sleeping an earthquake had collapsed his lair, leaving him trapped in stasis in an egg until a pair of curious vamps had found a small entrance during a rainstorm and had found more than just refuge. Lyssa found the egg and touched it, freeing the dragon from it's stasis. He refuses to tell Lyssandra his name, preferring to make her guess it. (She just calls him greenie) He treats it like a game, and in fact most of the time he acts like a baby dragon, playing with anyone that draws near, but when Lyssa is in danger that she cannot handle alone he takes his previous form, and will battle beside her, but what else would you expect from an offspring of Bahamut and Tiamat. He is one of the few original offspring that were left after their argument about good and evil which seperated the draconic races from each other. Besides having powerful magic (and resistance to it) the dragon has 4 different breath weapons. He can breathe fire, lightning, ice, and a paralyzing gas. The gas does not need to be inhaled to be effective, but extremely strong willed opponents, like the demon king, can shake it off after a minute or so if they try.
Also contained in the dragon's treasure (which he allowed them both to take something with them) Lyssa found a trident, supposedly crafted by some long forgotten goddess of the sea, which she gave to her priests to assist them with their rituals. The dragon could not verify the legends behind the trident, but it does help Lyssa's magick immensely, causing her spells to be 10 times as powerful when she uses it while casting. It can make the simplest spell devastating if she isn't careful. (One time she cast a fireball at some zombies without thinking and leveled a city block... sweatdrop )
Recently she has allied herself with a group of vampire hunters, most of who seem to have accepted that not all vampires are inherently evil, and only hunt those that abuse their powers or kill unnecessarily, and although she was given a position of some leadership, she still has trouble remembering to buy coffee sometimes cry
Recently her sister, Miriam, (whom she refers to as Miri, her childhood name for her sister... Lyssa's was Lyssi) returned from a trip to Tibet and the outer planes, bringing a couple presents for Lyssa. One of which was a small icy crystal, which had a snow demon trapped in it. It convinced Lyssa to let it out for the winter and in return it gave her some new armor and a sword which helps her to use her water magick more effectively.
