I've been in Japanese since gr.9 and I'm in gr.12 now. Actually this year I am going to travel to Japan with my class. biggrin
Why don't you try finding a class?
It is. Kudos to you for having the willpower to attempt that. Hopefully this won't annoy you, as I'm sure you've heard it before.. the BEST way, and easiest way, to learn a new language is to have a teacher. You don't need like a huge class, just interaction with someone else who speaks the language. Speaking is a bit more important, at least to me, than writing is.
It's nice to meet you too, Heather. :3
Learning Japanese is awkward at first, but it's pretty simple, so you made a good choice.
You said "ohayo gazaimasu" .. which is really close, don't hate me for correcting, but maybe you'd.. want me.. to? uhm.
It's actually spelled in romaji as "ohaayo gozaimasu". Once you learn the hiragana alphabet it'll be painfully easy to write romaji.
Are you taking a course? Or just teaching yourself?
