Hellloooooo fellow Gaians! smile Manga_artist reporting!Ok, lets get down to the basics. I'm a 13 year old girl living in Florida. I am currently teaching myself to speak Japanese. My hobbies include (but are not limited to...lol) watching anime, reading manga, fishing, riding my bicycle, playing video games, playing my trombone in the schools marching band, and drawing anime/manga.
I'm not new to anime or manga, but I haven't seen enough for me to say I have an all time "favorite", but the ones I have completed are:
Fruits Basket
Lucky Star
Fooly Cooly
Fullmetal Alchemist (first anime)
Fullmetal Alchemist (manga)
I'd have to say my #1 fav. out of all of these would have to be, although it's a really hard choice to make, Fooly Cooly. I'm not sure why I like this one so much...I guess it's because it's just this huge "up yours" to reality. Plus, it's completely random and has great art. Although, I wish there were more episodes. It only has six of 'em. But, that's not to say the other ones aren't great animes, too! I'm sure when I finish Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (the second anime) it'll be either my new #1 anime or a tie for it with Fooly Cooly.
Also, I love anime movies. I've seen many of Haio Maiazaki's (I think thats how you spell it) movies and they are wonderful in every way. I've seen:
Castle in the Sky
Spirited Away
Kiki's Delivery Service
My Neighbor Totoro
I've also seen another anime movie that was not directed by Maiazaki. It's called Grave of the Fireflies. VERY sad movie, wouldn't recommend it unless you really like sad movies....It made me cry. :'(
Like I said earlier, one of my hobbies is drawing. I've drawn lots of pictures and a lot of my friends and family say they're really good so I'm going to find a way to post them on Gaia. ^_^
