Well you might not have read or seen it because its more of for kids. Kids movies can be really good sometimes, er or so I've heard... *cough cough* Hmm, I don't think I've heard much about this "Tom Bombadell" character, but just like you, I haven't read the books either. Maybe I should since they are so famous. I can't really say if I like or hate Tolkien's writing really because all I have read by him is the Hobbit and one book isn't really enough to say you hate someones writing, or at least I don't think so. What kind of books does Terry Pratchett write? Any titles I might know? I'm more likely to remember a title then the name of the author sadly. I guess you have a point about the movies being boring if it was they were the same. But really, sometimes they over do the whole thing.
I find it kinda funny that we are talking both in comments and in PM's now... xD Hope I'm not being annoying.

Alas, jubilation for me, as I remembered to copy and paste. Let's see if I remember to erase. I am quite fond of my diction, I must say. Smashing is a swell word to use! Indeed, I know a few people who get cranky when they are deprived of sleep. I am one of them, but only after I get sleep after a long haul of not sleeping. I don't think liking Lord of the Rings is all that geeky, since a lot of people saw the movies. Now, if you read the series several time and get into large debates over some trivial matter within the books, reference and quote it at least twice a day, or talk about who versus who would win, then you are a geek. And, yes, books do not often translate to the silver screen well, but it would seem many are of the opinion they did it justice. Most are elated about there being no Tom Bombadell (I've never read the book so I haven't the foggiest how to spell his name).

Bleh, darn you and your memory to erase... Hehe, I love the way you talk! :3 Being cranky is no fun... So don't do that! When I get tired, I'm mostly just out of it and kinda crazy. I guess its not really geeky to like the movie, but it's still geeky when you geek over the movie! And speaking of books made into movies, I just watch "Cloudy, With a Chance of Meatballs"! What a weird and fun movie, i'm pretty sure though that the book is much better even though I haven't read it. The parts that I liked the most about just seemed to be parts that were in the book more then in the movie. Movies tend to be more action then books, well at least the American ones are. Anyways, sorry for the movie review. Who is Tom Bombadell? O.o

Hehe, "smashing combo" gosh you talk in such a cool way! :3 Yay!! More Apples to Apples players! Oh, I remember Balderdash now, I played it once at a friends house. I didn't really get it then so I didn't think it was much fun but now it sounds like it could be loads of fun. And yes, sleep deprivation and energy/caffeine drinks ALWAYS make a "smashing combo". Well, at least when the people with sleep deprivation aren't grouchy. Hmmm... It depends on what your definition of geeky is. For some people liking Lord of the Rings is very geeky. I've haven't read the books yet sadly but the movies do not ruin the books reputation much. In fact, personally, I had more people around me complimenting the closeness to the book because the movie seemed to summarize it very well, which is uncommon for books made into movies. And yay! I remembered to erase it this time! :3

YIKES! You are getting into the Valentines thing! Your avatar sent me reeling.
Ahem. *regains composure*
Snap, I forgot to copy and paste your comment someplace so I could respond to everything accordingly. Oh well, here goes the best I can from memory. When I say write like a 14-year-old I mean the stereotype of mary-sue novelists. Not all 14-year-olds. As for social games... well... I really like Balderdash. I can't think of any right now, since quite a few of them are obscure or made-up. And no, I never played Apples to Apples. Is that an assosciation game? I like assosciation games.
Oh, and yes, 50 character is a lot to upkeep, but luckily we let some of them die, or put them on the shelf. We basicly say "Okay, so-and-so has gone off on their own to do this quietly, and won't be interacting with other characters much anymore for a while..." like one of my characters who went off to start a brothel. Er... I mean.... a legitimate and respectable business.

Awwww your just jealous of my pink and redness! :3
Muhahahahha!! I didn't forget to paste it, yay me! Anyways.... I... Can't think of what balderdash is at this very moment but it sounds reeeaaally familiar. *Gasp!* Oh my gosh you have to play Apples to Apples! It's not really played with normal cards but it is sooo much fun! Look it up or something, its loads of fun to play with alot of people. And yes it's an association game. Sorry I'm kinda hyper and crazy today. I had a good day with not much sleep and an energy drink! Yay!!
I donno why, but that kind of reminds me of when in Lord of the Rings they split up and go do different things. Maybe it's just because I'm geeky like that.... Mhhhm, yah "legitimate and respectable business" suuuuure, I believe you.

OMG!!!! Your a 34-year-old woman with three cats and a speech disorder???? Cool! At least your still funny. I'm sooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyy!!!! I thought I responded back but I guess I didn't.... And wow keeping up with 50 characters is alot! @.@ Hey! I somewhat take offense to the write-like-a-14-year-old thing! I'm 16 and what I wrote when I was 14 wasn't THAT bad.... Just not the best.
Awwwww, I like life. It's simple to play when your little so it was one of the only games that I understood when I was younger. OH OHOH!!! Have you played Apples to Apples?? That game is really fun! So what other games do you play that are social?

You talk a lot! Sorry just had to get that out, and I'm teasing so don't yell at me. xP And I knew what kind of roleplay you were talking about. I've only roleplayed in the forums once but I think I'm more of a story writer then most the people that roleplay. I think about what my character would do instead of what I would do and kind of make a foul proof character where I can explain every reason for doing something. I think I'm just doing to much though... All well, still fun! One of the guys that actually joined our roleplay thing is very serious and seems way to mature to be playing around with such newbish story writers. (Hes really good!)
Awwww I used to play those kind of games when I was younger but I have kind of lost that fun part of me. I think part of my brain figured out that if I stopped believing in fairy tales so much then I could stop believing in the monsters under my bed and in my closet. Whats really funny is I'm still deathly scared of zombies and expect to wake up one day and see them eating people. Anyways, back to the point! Its cool that you haven't lost that fun part of you.
Aaahh, the curse of not being rich. I'm sorry that you have to go on a boring car ride. Could be worse!
Those were older times so its more taboo now for guys to grow out there nails. Also my brother has long nails to so its not THAT weird, just different.
Oh I LOVE hearts! Kinda hard to find enough players that know how to play for me to play with though... Most kids my age don't know it. Maybe I'll teach them.... Never mind, that would just be a disaster. Board games are fun! My family has a lot of them and they can be really fun.
