SHAMELESS NARCISSISM:
More about me than you ever wanted to know. I'm a nerd from California, right in the heart of treehugging communist hippieville, and I'm damn proud of it even if it makes finding a D&D game harder than I'd like. I'm eighteen; college is on hiatus. Worked my a** off--sort of--to get into an Ivy-League level school, and after a semester decided I really didn't like it all that much; now, I'm at home and working a part time job, with the overly ambitious aspiration of art school, someday off in the future. For the moment... Well, I work at a fancy clothing store. Not exactly my dream career, but when you're looking for a temp in a recession you take what you can get. At least it lets me practice outfit design, or so I try to think of it.
In my spare time, I like to kick back with some variety of generally unhealthy food and mess around on the internet; I'm an introvert by nature, at least irl, so that's my ideal day off of work. Still, spare time isn't quite as spare as I might like to think... there's always something to do, even if it's theoretically recreational in nature.
I love drawing, and have all my life; the current 'I'ma go to a real art school dur hur hur' is the surprising renewal of my admittedly unrealistic lifelong dream (one day, I'd like to be a creature designer for video games, like that's ever going to happen). I have a DA account, which is shamefully neglected because for whatever reason I'm insufferably lazy about posting, and I occasionally frequent the forums to do commissions or lurk in the freebie thread. It's mood-based, though, which is why I usually hesitate to take commissions; if I feel like drawing, the picture will be done in four hours of nonstop work. If I don't feel like it, my attention span shrinks to fifteen minutes and nothing will come out right.
Writing: I do write. I love to write. It's even more of a transient interest than drawing; it comes in the eight-to-ten-page-chunk, or not at all. I have multiple stories that I work on from time to time, ranging from five pages long to 350 pages long, and multiple OCs who proceed to pester me when I don't work on their story for a year (most of whom look like they're related to each other, which actually has an overarching reason, but it could also be said is just my shameless pandering to my own preferences)
And then there's video games, which for many reasons consume a lot of my time. I love me some pixelated violence. There's a lot of reasons why I play (personal inspiration for art, appreciation of well-done graphics, to communicate with people, and just to have fun), but there's also that relaxation factor in coming home after a really shitty day and just blasting the s**t out of something. World of Warcraft takes up the most of my time, as far as gaming is concerned, but I enjoy most things.
Other than that? Odds and ends. I love rp and D&D, when I can find good groups to mess around with, which is less than I'd like. I try to not slip into being a weeaboo, but I'm an anime enthusiast and have something of a weakness for violent seinen series (Hellsing OVAs and so forth, use your imagination). I even cosplay once in a while, for the one big convention that I go to each year.
So... Heh, well, that's me. *waves* Now let's hear about you.

Here on Gaia, I'm a lurker on the forums, as I said. I comment here and there, I read a great many more threads than I comment on.
I don't have a shop, nor am I likely to open one. I'm open for commissions most of the time, but selectively; you have to have something that really interests me to take it on. That, or post in the freebie request thread. I generally look through there every few weeks and pick out something that catches my eye.

I hope you don't mind random comments... sweatdrop
But I was just wandering around the art freebies forum (as you do) when I stumbled upon some of your posts in a thread. The first thing that I noticed, really ,was your username, as I love crows of any description, and I liked what you'd done with the birds in your avatar. So I clicked the links in your signature, (again, as you do) and I found some of your artwork and your OCs. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that I literally said out loud 'Oh wow...' when I saw your art. They are beautiful, and I must add you've got some really great OCs. (I would have offered you some art too, but I guess Idon't really do high quality and I know my style is odd and nasty...anyway xD) And so, I ended up at your profile, and I read it all and you're into some neat stuff, and so, especially with such a warm invitation to do so I posted on your profile just to let you know that you seem like a pretty great person (: Even the way your write your bio and thread posts gives me further reason to think so.
So anyway. Hope that didn't creep you out too much, and I just wanted to let you know that you've kept me interested for a while.
