Hello people. My personal name is Yuki Nagato. I may look it but I am not an ordinary human. I an a humanoid interface created by the data intergration thought entity that supervises this galaxy. My job is to observe the organic life form known as Haruhi Suzumiya and report all collected data. Do you understand?

It may look like it but I was not sent alone to this earth. I had a backup unit with personal name Ryouko Asakura but Ryouko went rougue and tried to kill Kyon to get Haruhi Suzumiya to react. In return I was forced to nulify her data link and create a cover story for her dissapearance. I made it look like she had moved to Canada but Haruhi didn't believe it and investigated. I don't think she figured it out though.

I was originally a member of the literature club but Haruhi Suzumiya wanted the room that the club was in for her clubroom. I agreed to it as long as I could sit in the room and read. I watched and observed as she started to gather members for her club.

This included

Kyon- An ordinary human chosen by Haruhi Suzumiya

Mikuru Asahina- A time traveller from the future

and Itsuki Koizumi- An esper

The big part is both Mikuru and Itsuki have been sent from their respective places with the same mission as me. To monitor Haruhi Suzumiya. We all have different views on her but we all agree that she is no ordinary human. I am told by the data inergration thought entity that Haruhi posesses the possibility for autoevolution and has the power to issue forth data from where there was none. She needs to be monitored so she does not create a major disaster for this earth.

That day in the literature club was when Haruhi considered me a part of the SOS brigade and I have been told to go to many different places by Haruhi. We have searched town for aliens, been to the swimming pool, a bon dance and done many other things that have all been decided by Haruhi. I have also been on a trip to the library with Kyon where there are lots and lots of stories stacked up on shelves.
