We Wear the Mask
We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes--
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And month with myriad subtleties.
Why should the world be otherwise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.
We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!

Did you delete your journal? I remember seeing that the writing was really well done and was going to come back and read it..
I like your shoes the way they are. They add to the ragged winter-cold look. It's like it's so cold and freezing out, your shoes are worn and you're trying to stay warm with your cup of cocoa.
Hey, did I hear right, is the next Harry Potter movie soon to come out or something or other? I caught a little blurb about the next one, but I only caught the end of it, and they mentioned how Harry will be played by the same person for the remainder of the movies, but that Hermione might not be in the 6th and 7th. What's up with that? She's too good to finish it out like everyone else confused I hate when actors are changed in a sequence of movies, it just doesn't make the movie the same anymore. Whew sweatdrop that was a long comment. Sorry for taking up so much space, I know you like it anyways though biggrin
