In my opinion, definitely. The only real downside I see is that Pokemon no longer stalk you around sad But the animated battles are AMAZING. It has a bit more of a Final Fantasy edge to it too in my opinion. There are a few "magical" things in it, unlike the previous games. Plus the extra 100+ pokemon are awesome too, albeit the names are usually kinda cheesy lol.
