Utatane Piko (歌手音ピコ) is the first Vocaloid from Sony Music Distribution and will use the Vocaloid2 engine. His name "Utatane" means "sound of singer" while "Piko" is the name of a popular Nico Nico Douga singer called Piko; in other words, his name means "sound of singer Piko". He will be released on December 8, 2010, at a price of 15,750 yen(around $173.0 cool , but is ready to be pre-ordered as of now.
While no voice samples have been handed out, the singer Piko is known for being able to pitch himself high onto the octaves while maintaining a large vocal range; due to Piko's ability he has been able to sing both male and female roles when singing to Vocaloid songs. He shares this ability with Asami Shimoda the provider of Rin/Len Kagamine who had been chosen for similair reasons, be it to provide the vocals for two seperate Vocaloids. However, it is unknown if his Vocaloid will share this large vocal range.
