In the darkness, do I lie; Without my wings, I can not fly.
Lost within the night; I can not fight.
Broken, Bleeding, I am no longer me - Because of thee,
Who changed, hurt, and blinded me - I can not see.
Upon my face, there is a mask; One that keeps me from this task.
It is my past it hides; And in the dark, I have no guides.
Alone am I, left to defend - Against those who would try to offend.
An injury I can never mend - I can not find an easy end.
My body shivers with many pains; The floor, my blood now seems to stain.
A flower am I that nolonger grows; And this nobody knows.
Awakens now a dormint fear - Of loosing all those I hold dear.
And with this awakening of my fears - My eyes, they flood with unshed tears.
Against the tile floor I am laid; And all I can cry out is that I'm afraid.
Bruised and Broken, I am torn; But there is one thing here to scorn...
For I am my worst enemy - And this self-inflicted injury,
Can not undergo a full recovery - And this is my discovery...
