About
The Dark Trinity-------------------------
The pain,
It hides,
Festers and rots the inside,
The mind grapples with anguish,
And is consumed,
A singular event,
Burns a hole through the heart,
And takes life with it,
Until re-kindled by passion,
Yet even this cannot persist,
As darkness rips it away from the outcast,
The ghost.
Worthless is the one who struggles to live,
Flailing and helpless,
Worthless is the one who cannot see,
Who's sight has gone dark through solitude.
The lonely road is long and arduous,
Yet those who walk it are bound,
The trappings hold fast,
And through darkness,
They are ripped to pieces,
Their resolve shatters,
Their hearts melt and burn,
And they stand in darkness eternal,
Gazing towards the stars with sparks of hope,
Deluded.
The soul bleeds as the stars fade,
And the living ponder death,
It's surface as cold as the world around us,
It's facade polished,
Reflecting ourselves into the flames,
To burn away the darkness.
The mind contemplates the question,
Death lives and burns through humanity,
And all that is nothing becomes everything,
Thus all who are nothing remain,
And the lives they sacrifice,
Become the lives lifted to the heavens,
As the rolling death marches on.
Turmoil rolls and crashes around us,
The eye of the storm is upon us,
In the mind,
A surface of glass reflects the chaos,
And all of life becomes inconsequential,
Thus we become who and what we are,
And petty influences fall away,
Four horsemen light and drown the path,
Death,
Pestilence,
Famine,
And War,
They guide humanity to it's ultimate destiny,
Destruction,
And all that is everything becomes nothing at all.
