Lunar Rise
A lonely girl strode through a black rose valley, she had no family, friends no one to care for her. As she trudged through her sad journey a shadow appeared. He was nothing special just an ordinary shadow. He pitied the girl even with his black heart and slithered and shifted to speak with the girl. “Oh my dear daughter of light why do you weep and mourn? You are too young to carry these heart-breakers.” The girl looked to the shadow with pale green eyes, so full of sorrow and doubt. “Alas dear Shadow I cry and grieve for the family I once knew. Mother, Father even a little sister as well. You see Father of Night I have none to hold, all were torn from me through terrible forces and impure actions. A man brought me down with Lust and Desire. He tricked me into his bed, His words burned like poison and drove me mad. When next I woke my family was gone, a bloody knife had given them to the Reaper and now laid in my hands. I fled from my home to cries of murder and that seducer’s mad laughter. You see my dear, I was tricked by the Devil’s workings and now shed these tears. This sorrow is my damnation that I must walk alone, I wish I could play care free as a bird with friends. No, My only companions are these black roses to remind me of my crimes.”
The shadow wept for the girl and gave her a promise. Dear daughter I shall give you life an kin that none can take neither Light nor Dark. Take my hand sweet daughter your family awaits.” The girl grasped the shadow’s hand and a loving kiss fell on her cheek as she walked to the sky and smiled so brightly, she saw her new family below as they kissed and caressed her. Her new name echoed across the inky black night Luna was what. was heard as she hung in the sky lighting up the sky with her smile as her family of shadows kept her company.
