Yeah, Gaia got new owners, and they pretty much redid the way Gaia operated, not the least of which was the gold generators. They released Limited Quantity Items [Items sold in limited amounts and exempt from being re-released for 6 months], Gold Generators [Basically able to buy gold], Gold Sinks (A way to get rid of some of the extra gold generated) [i.e. Pandora's Gate next to your avatar in the header], and Recolors (Different colors of items mostly Monthly Collectables, Evolving Items, and Limited Quantity Items). They also eliminated zOMG. I was rather disappointed by that. They originally took it down for 'maintenance', then later claimed there was a 'Security Issue' that nobody even knew about, and that's why they kept it down.

My guess is you've been away a while? LoL Yeah, they've been steady going up for the past year or so, since they first released gold generators. A lot of the prices have actually tapered off here recently. It's mostly just the newer cash shop items that are really expensive.
