It's such an irony this sunny bright weather

Love, they say, enslaves and passion is a demon and many have been lost for love. I know this is true, but I know too that without love we grope the tunnels of our lives and never see the sun. When I fell in love it was as though I looked into a mirror for the first time and saw myself. I lifted my hand in wonderment and felt my cheeks, my neck. This was me. And when I had looked at myself and grown accustomed to who I was, I was not afraid to hate parts of me because I wanted to be worthy of the mirror bearer.

I'm not a perfect person. There's many things I wish I didn't do. I am Vindicated. I am selfish, I am wrong. I am right, I swear I'm right; Swear I knew it all along. And I am Flawed, But I am cleaning up so well. I am seeing in me now The things you swore you saw yourself I wanna publish 'zines, And rage against machines. I wanna pierce my tongue; It doesn't hurt, it feels fine. If you're curious my favorite color's blue*. And I like to sing in the shower. If you like I'll sing to you, What’s my age again? What’s my age again? I am small but I am strong. You see I'm just like you I wanna have the same last dream again. The one where I wake up and I'm alive. I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say. (I promise) I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be.
I could be brown, I could be blue. I could be violet sky. I could be hurtful, I could be purple. I could be anything you like. Up all night long, And there's something very wrong. And I know it must be late; Been gone since yesterday. I'm not like you guys. I'm not like you. It takes a lot to faze me. I'm pretty stable I'm pretty sane… It takes a lot to make me pretty angry and very sad. Sometimes I feel I've got to Run away, I've got to Get away.
Be intimidated… Guess what? I don't care.
*My favorite color is actually green
