She did have a very weak immune system from what I knew though.

Wow. My dad died 6 years from a blood clot that spread to his lungs and then his heart. The doctors turned him away because he confirmed that he worked around asbestos for years. After continuing downward, he ended up in the hospital and died soon after because of a complication with a filter. My family is at a high risk of blood clots. The state we lived in at the time had poor medical care. My aunt recently got a clot and she caught it soon.

Awesome.

You should read her memorial thread that a nice group of her friends put together: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/friends-chat/the-girl-who-gave-it-all-ab91/t.77946427/?_gaia_t_=3936 It explains how she died. They couldn't have done a better job.

I see what you mean. I live in an expensive area for the US because of our proximity to Vancouver, Canada, but the recession made the home/condo prices in many areas only around 1/3 of what they were only a few years ago. What I'd do is save for a down payment so I can take a loan. That would still be cheaper than renting in quite a few cases.

Cool. That's a good field. There will always be a demand for nursing.

Thanks for your support. This has been the first time a friend of mine has died. The hard part is seeing the "offline" by her avi and other things like that because she was online all the time. The good thing is that I talked to her only a few weeks before she died and wished for her to get better from her illness. That helps me a little.

Yeah. I'm going to see if I can transfer my credits to the school here or something. There are some real advantages to living with family though. I can someday buy a place when I save up enough so I don't have to waste more money on rent. Buying is now cheaper than rent here because of the bad economy. Everything will only get better from my point of view.

I see what you mean. I've been inactive on gaia for a while as well. I moved back home to save up money because the rent for the apartment was so expensive that I couldn't afford to continue classes. I've also been down for the past few days because I just found that a long-time friend on and off gaia has died. But I'm doing a little better now. I've been spending a lot more time outside despite all the rain.

Hi, it's been...about a year. How are you?

The completed project actually isn't due until until almost a month from now, but I want to have it done early so I can take a trip across the country so I can visit family and help my mom finally get her house sold. It'll be like a vacation since it's warm there. Plus I'll be able to see my nephew who's about 1 and a half years old. The good thing is that I'm taking online classes so I can be anywhere, which is really awesome.

Oh, I see. I know the feeling.

Yeah, she has no power or water from what I heard. I'm sure that will be fixed soon though.

The main thing on my mind is now a final project for a class. I have to design an entire website by the end of the quarter. I'm making progress at least.

Let's hope for the best.

I found out that my friend is okay by the way.

That certainly does not sound good. I hope he'll be ok!
