Isnt it funny how no matter how fate plays tricks on you, it is always in such a reckless and evil sorta way? Every time you meet someone new you find yourself wondering subconsciously who it would turn out to be in the future; your lover, your husband or wife, your executioner, a person who you will see only once in your life, your boss, your rival, your colleague, or the person you’ll kill in a fit of anger.
Somehow, I immediately knew that this person would cause me the greatest happiness in my life and at the same time the greatest sadness and confusion I would ever experience. I could feel myself getting ready to accept this; to pride myself in the ability that I would have in dealing with this.
It was just a second after this that, all the courage I had prepared and all the pride I was preparing myself to feel, disappeared and not a memory was felt, only the lingering feeling of loss and betrayal to myself that I was ashamed of later after.
With all the thoughts broken and the previous enchantment I felt towards the situation soon turned to horror as everything disappeared, I was left bare to face the challenge before me. I prepared to face total humiliation at the introduction that was before me.
