i'm sure they were, that would suck to find out your kid was a drop out and all the money went nowhere. my mom, stepdad and stepmom never went, but my dad did. he was pushing me the most but he just gave up one day and realized i would go on my own time if i ever chose to do so later in life.
understandable, it's not that i wanted the straight to a job life. for me it was i know i'm not mature enough for college, as of right now i have no interest in a certain major, and i don't want to waste the money to try and find it out by the guess and test method.
i'm glad i decided that before graduating though, i was so bent out of shape trying to figure out what to do since everyone always stresses the importance of college. i know it's not for everyone, and that's something you have to find out for yourself. you can't be told if it's important for you or not because everyone is different and i get so peeved at teachers and parents who try and push it on you like it....sorry about the rant, it's just a touchy subject for me.
i see well good luck with the college thing...i'm skipping out on that...instead i'm going to be a dog groomer which has in-store training. that's the sort of thing i needed because i have no work ethic when it comes to school
