That sounds like something a lot of smartphones can do. Just find one that appeals to you physique-wise, comes with a decent battery, and has an easy o use interface then.
If youre not going to use a smartphone for everything it has to offer(web access, IMing, app store, etc) I say wait and just use a decent "dumb phone". The plan prices are going to cost you a bit if you dont go with T-Mobile's Everything Plus Plan for like $55 monthly.
I love the Samsung Gravitys, and a lot of Samsung phones. The Samsung Moment, which I have, is a decent Android phone but the Samsung EPIC and all the Samsung Galaxy S variants are probably going to be some of THE best Android phones out, period. Only reason I would hold out on them is to see what kind of Android 3.0 phones debut later this year.
