n00b:
A word used (mainly) on the internet meaning: someone who thinks they know everything but is really ignorant and/or lame.
It can also mean that they type like an idiot (and aren't doing it in the cool oldbie way), use "1337" (and aren't doing it in a cool oldbie way), etc.
newbie:
A word (mainly) used on the internet. If you're a newbie, you're new to something. (a website, etc.)</span>
