I personally think the principle was of ill thought to bring about the subject of the walk outs. It's a rather loaded gun and extremely delicate position. It's hard for him to say he will not punish perpetrators of walkouts without sounding like he encourages them, and I agree with you that it should be consulted with the teachers. After all, it's their workload that is being compromised. However, he deserves a certain accolade for facing the situation head on. In my neck of the woods, if the same problem were to arise, the powers that be would use diversionary tactics to distract people from the real issues. It's been done before, and as a result, my former school district has lost a large chunk of funding and now has state-appointed superintendents and administrators. Frankly, public school systems have begun to disappoint me. So at least he tried to be honest, even if doing it in a deceitful diversionary manner, such as worming around questions. I suppose that's worse, in a way.

Wasn't our Constitution and entire government founded upon the idea of the Individual? Why are people content with allowing public schools to eradicate the Individual, and in it's stead, institute the Regular and Standard? Why is every thought in this comment a question? Haha.
