I am Inuyasha. Born of a human mother and a demon father, i am a half demon (hanyou). I wish to become a full fleged demon (youkai) by collecting the Jewel of Four Souls (Shikon no Tama). Unfortunately, many other demons also covet the precious jewel.
A preistess by the name of Kikyo possesed this jewel but kept it to prevent sure destruction if the jewel were to fall into the hands of a demon. By using her sacred arrows, she destroyed anyone attempting to steal the jewel.
I too tried to take this jewel from Kikyo. After many of my own attempts, we started to like eachother. She told me she could not keep the jewel if she wanted to be normal. However, instead of becoming a demon, she told me i must become a human. I accepted, and she promised to give it to me. A shape-shifting demon named Naraku disguised himself as Kikyo and tried to kill me when I was off guard. Because I thought it was Kikyo, I escaped to the village for what she promised to give to me. After finally having the jewel to myself, the real Kikyo caught me at the last second, and pinned me to a tree with her arrow.
50 years later, I was still attached to this tree. A girl named Kagome found me there. A demon after the jewel called Mistress Centipede (Mudake Jourou) was after her. She struck Kagome, and out of her wound came the Shikon Jewel. She went after it and ate it, then pinned kagome to the tree i was on. I thought this girl could be of use to me, so i asked her to remove the arrow from my shoulder. she did so, and i destroyed the demon, only because she would get in the way from me taking whats rightfully mine. After Kagome picked it up from the demons flesh, i told her to give me the jewel.
I thought it would be all to easy to take this jewel from her, but an old sister of Kikyo known as Kaede put a cursed necklace around my neck called the Beads of Subjugation (Kotodama no Nenju). So now when Kagome says "sit" or "sit boy" (osuwari), I fall to the ground face first. I now follow her around to find the perfect opportunity to take the jewel for myself.
A demon crow confronted Kagome to steal the jewel from her. Before it could get away with the jewel, Kagome grabbed a bow and a sacred arrow. She shot at the bird, and managed to get a hit, but she hit exactly where the jewel was. The jewel broke apart into tiny shards, and spread out across the sky.
A few days later,me and Kagome were just minding our own business when my brother Sesshomaru came to pay me a visit. he reached into my eye and pulled a black pearl out of it, opening a portal to my father's grave.
We go into the grave following Sesshomaru where we see the Tesusaiga, a sword forged from my father's fang. Sesshomaru tried to pull it from the platform it was placed, but he was not the one who my father wanted to wield the Tetsusaiga. Responding to this, I run over and try to pull it out, but still it remained in the platform.
After this me and Sesshomaru just fight, like we always do, while Kagome went up and examined the sword. I think because she possesed the shikon jewel shard, she pulled the sword out by accident. This angered Sesshomaru, and he turned into a gargantuan dog, or also known as his true form. She gives the sword to me, but it is duller than ever, not leaving a scratch on Sesshomaru.
So me and kagome try to run from him, because fighting seemed useless, but as we got to higher ground, he was close behind. Soon we were all at the top of my father's grave. Kagome starts crying because I hurt her feelings. I tell her to shut up and let me protect her. Tetsusaiga responded to this, becoming larger and more powerful than before. Knowing what i had to do, I go back to Sesshomaru and cut off his left arm. He flees before anymore damage can be inflicted.
So now with the power of Tetsusaiga, me, Kagome, and some friends we meet along the way go out to find all the shards of the Shikon Jewel before another demon does.
