Had an interesting discussion.. Rather, SHORT DISCUSSION with a friend about this Virus that is going around. They decided to compare numbers with Abortion(63mil), but why? I don't see how CHOOSING to raise numbers has anything to do with a virus. I want to know about keeping certain viruses away, steps taken to do so, and the results. I went on and searched for US death totals for the Ebola virus.
Ebola Cases USA
Recoveries from Ebola: 9
Deaths: 2
Cases contracted in the U.S: 2
Cases first diagnosed in U.S: 4
In other words; 11 cases in USA alone. They compared abortion to USA numbers(14 as of what i saw someone post on march 6th) for this current virus which no one really knows much about other than supporters of Trump going by what he said by stating it is a common cold... It is NOT a common cold. if common cold medicines don't help in any way shape or form, then i would probably take that back.
I don't see why no one is going through the past to see how others tried to keep viruses away from this country if found in another. Why are we letting those still with coronavirus back to the country to have quarantine at home? (maybe because of the rising numbers in other countries, but nonetheless...) Why isn't Trump himself taking precaution to test himself of this virus instead of making odd excuses as to why he doesn't need to worry.
The only good thing I can say is at least the children 9 and under will be for the most part okay, but the fact remains that even if children are okay, they are infected and if around their grandparents or older people in general they could possibly infect them and the elderly seem to be most at risk of death.
no matter if it's children, young adults, or elderly, we shouldn't be going around calling people names because people want to take caution and stay safe until they figure out how to contain it. it is not a mainstream leftist thing, just as calling it a common cold probably isn't only trump supporters saying it, but those misinformed BY trump himself as this is what he has been saying.
The same could be said for those who disagree with the whole common cold theory, but why aren't we taking the precautions as they did when ebola was being spoke of and worrisome? is it so bad to take necessary cautions to keep your people of the country safe?? or is it really just a leftist thing to care?
Like the four doctors said on the news tonight, "What we need to do is have everyone come together and help fight this."
I went to a store with my mom, and some man said he wished he could just catch it and get it over and done with... Yes, considering the age of the man, he would be one to most likely die from it. 35 and up are to be concerning. 10 up to 34 at least will catch it and have symptoms but SHOULDN'T die. But we will see what happens as well when the weather warms up as Trump said it "should go away by summer."

It doesn't help the vice president doesn't believe in science either.
I thought 2019 was a bad year for me, but oh my god this year has been nothing but stressful in all different ways. I can only pray it starts to get better, and people learn to stop being so political about sicknesses and maybe put some science thinking caps on.
I needed to post as I am extremely alarmed over it. Went to the grocery store after going to the other store with my mom, and listening to some assholes yell they have the corona virus and going up to random people/employees of the store and touching them?
Don't even touch me, especially if you don't know me and I don't know you. In fact, even if we do know each other, just don't touch me.
I'm sick of people not giving a s**t and acting like others need to be the same way. If we can keep it away by taking necessary action, no matter how bad it makes the president himself look, he should be taking it up. I've never met so many people who just don't give a ********. I have a mother with cancer and I'm thinking of her as I watch and listen to the things that come out of people's mouths.
